Jose Mourinho Alleged to Have Shoved Schoolboy Otto Nahmmacher on Video

Matt JonesOct 21, 2015

A video has surfaced, in which Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is alleged to have shoved a teenage boy, who was recording the clip on his phone.

Here’s a look at the footage in question, which was taken by 14-year-old schoolboy Otto Nahmmacher, per Amadi Tidiane Thiam of World Soccer Talk:

The video seems to show Mourinho barging into Nahmmacher, who is a lifelong Chelsea supporter, on a London street once he realises he is being filmed.

According to Chris Cutmore of the MailOnline, the incident is said to have happened on Sunday in Knightsbridge, a day after the Blues got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 triumph over Aston Villa.

“He’s losing the plot,” Nahmmacher’s father said of Mourinho to the Sun

It’s been a rocky few weeks for the Blues. Chelsea drew with Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday evening, with the Portuguese again castigating the performance of match officials, per BBC Sport. The manager’s complaints come just days after he was hit with a £50,000 fine and suspended one-game after stating referees were “afraid” to award his team penalties.

As Ben Hayward of Goal.com notes here, apportioning blame is a common theme for Mourinho as Chelsea have struggled through the early weeks of the term:

After coasting to the Premier League title in the previous campaign, expectations were that Chelsea would continue progressing in 2015-16. Mourinho is a manager who rarely lets standards slip, after all, and given the core of the squad so successful last year remains intact, the team’s recent slump is a baffling one.

Mourinho's team have had a very frustrating start to the season.

The Chelsea boss has drawn criticism for his conduct at times this season, most notably for the manner in which he dealt Doctor Eva Carneiro after the infamous incident on the opening day of the campaign. There have also been suggestions the Chelsea players have grown weary of Mourinho blaming them for defeats, per Dominic Fifield of the Guardian.

However, Bleacher Report’s Garry Hayes thinks that after a turbulent time, the Blues are gradually getting back to the levels which their supporters are used to:

The footage released by Nahmmacher is another moment the Portuguese will likely have to answer questions about in the coming days. For a manager who will want to get his team back in a winning groove, that’ll be far from ideal, especially with a tricky trip to West Ham United to come this weekend.
