Sunday Recap
Atletico kept their foot on the gas on Sunday, taking three points from Sociedad coach David Moyes' mean defence, waiting until the 91st minute to wrap up the points.
Griezmann broke the deadlock after just nine minutes, returning to haunt his former club with a spectacular solo strike.
The Frenchman ran from the halfway line and chipped the goalkeeper to score one of the best goals of the weekend in Spain.

The match was a largely dour affair, as Atleti failed to break down Moyes' well-drilled unit, but the game came alive in the final minutes as the referee brandished two red cards.
Diego Reyes talked his way into the official's book as Sociedad struggled to grab an equaliser in the 89th minute, giving coach Diego Simeone's side the chance to grab the winner through Ferreira Carrasco.
Jonathas' discourse then saw him also receive his marching orders, as Moyes' team gave up the fight in spectacular fashion.
The undoubted star of the show was Griezmann, who is developing into one of the Europe's great attacking talents. His former fans applauded him from the pitch, per AS:
It was a disappointing day for high-flying Villarreal, losing 2-1 at El Madrigal to a buoyant Celta.
Fabian Orellana gave the visitors the lead shortly before the break, but the Yellow Submarine were back on level terms midway through the second half as Denis Suarez found the bottom corner.
It was left to Nolito to continue his spectacular early-season form and score the winner in the final minute, finishing with aplomb from the centre of the box.

The win takes Celta level on points with Real and Barca, separating the giants, in second spot.
In Sunday's other matches, Getafe destroyed visiting Las Palmas 4-0 at the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Victor Rodriguez slotted home in just the third minute from close range for the hosts, with Pablo Sarabia heading in the simplest of chances eight minutes later.
Juan Emmanuel Culio saw red for the Yellows—10 minutes from the end—giving Getafe the advantage they needed to bury the match.

Stefan Scepovic netted twice in the closing minutes to give the capital city side the convincing win.
Deportivo earned a draw against Athletic Club after trailing 2-0 deep into the match, as goals from Lucas Perez and Alejandro Arribas saved the home side.
Inaki Williams gave Bilbao a first half lead, with Aduriz appearing to seal the win just after the hour-mark. But Depor's late show was enough to break Athletic Club hearts, with two strikes in the closing 10 minutes forcing a draw.
Nolito's performances are winning him fans both at home and abroad, and the big clubs around Europe will now be considering him as a viable target.
His consistency for the Sky Blues has reached new levels this season, and he is the primary reason Celta are riding so high in 2015-16.
