Tuesday Recap
It was a bad night for Dutch football as their tournament came to an end with a sorry 3-2 defeat against the Czech Republic in Amsterdam.
Goals from Pavel Kaderabek, Josef Sural and an own goal from substitute Robin van Persie gave the visitors the victory to qualify as group winners despite two late replies from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and RvP.
It was a terrible end for the Oranje, whose fortunes could not be any further away from last year's success at the World Cup.
The Manchester Evening News' Samuel Luckhurst highlighted this fact at half time, with Holland clearly on their way out of the reckoning:
Belgium became the highest-ranked team in the world as they beat Israel 3-1 in Brussels. Second-half strikes from Dries Mertens and a Kevin De Bruyne free-kick gave the hosts control of the match before an Eden Hazard finish ensured the three points.
Italy celebrated qualification in Rome as they beat Norway 2-1 despite trailing in the match. Alexander Tettey's opener midway through the first half was cancelled out by Alessandro Florenzi before Southampton's Graziano Pelle stole the win.

There was late drama in Turkey as the hosts scored in the final minute to grab qualification as the best third-placed team. Selcuk Inan's last-gasp effort means the Turks will feature in the finals next year.
It was a simple night for Wales as they skipped past Andorra in Cardiff, with second half goals from midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale sealing a 2-0 win. The Welsh narrowly miss out on winning group B after Belgium's success in their match.
Croatia stole into the finals of Euro 2016 after an Ivan Perisic goal after 25 minutes beat Malta 1-0 away. The three points allowed the visitors to leapfrog Norway after their failure on the road.

In Tuesday's other matches, Islambek Kuat strike gave Kazakhstan a solitary goal win over Latvia, as the bottom two in Group A completed their campaigns.
Bulgaria edged Azerbaijan 2-0 to take fourth spot in Group H, as goals from Mihail Alexandrov and Dimitar Rangelov tamed the visitors.
There was a five-goal thriller in Nicosia as Cyprus lost 3-2 to Bosnia and Herzegovina after a stunning first half. Haris Medunjanin gave the away side the lead, but Constantinos Charalambides equalised for the Cypriots before Nestor Mytidis took the lead. Medunjanin retained parity once again just before the half time whistle, leaving 25-year-old Milan Djurc to be the hero of the hour, giving the Bosnians a great victory.

The Netherlands will be forced to rebuild after 2015's travesties, but it is clear they do not have the depth of talent they once had.
Their defence is packed full of average players, and the core of the team is weakened by the ageing of their most prominent stars.
On the flip side, neighbours Belgium are riding high after years of rebuilding and development. They have a squad that is now the envy of the world, and they will enter the finals in France as many pundits' favourite for the championship.
