No. 7 LSU at South Carolina

The No. 7 LSU Tigers are one of the least surprising SEC teams left with an undefeated record, but it will be put to the test in a road matchup against South Carolina.
Well, it's technically a road game, but there's no telling what will be in store by the time Saturday comes about. With catastrophic flooding striking parts of the state of South Carolina over the weekend, Williams-Brice Stadium may not be ready for the game, Josh Kendall of the State reported.
It could even be played in Charlotte as Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reported:
Wherever the game takes place, the Gamecocks will have to deal with arguably the most dominant man in college football. Leonard Fournette is putting his fingerprints all over the Heisman Trophy conversation, as the LSU running back has put up 200 yards or more in three of his four games.
Fournette has the speed to avoid getting touched altogether, but he also can bowl over opponents and continue going as ProFootballFocus.com noted:
For all the good the Tigers have going in Fournette, they're coming off a somewhat measly performance last week. LSU struggled against Eastern Michigan. It was leading 30-22 in the fourth quarter before two late touchdowns gave the team a more comfortable final scoreline.
Still, despite South Carolina's lethargic losses of late to Kentucky and Missouri, it will be playing like its season is on the line—because it practically is. LSU will have to bring it more than it did against Eastern Michigan, if its undefeated record is to survive.
No. 13 Northwestern vs. No. 18 Michigan

Two of the best defenses in the Big Ten—scratch that, all of college football—will be in action Saturday in Ann Arbor, as Northwestern visits Michigan in what's likely to be a defensive struggle.
The 13th-ranked Wildcats are fresh off a shutout, blanking Minnesota 27-0 in a game that was pegged to be a close affair. Of course, the Wolverines can more than match that.
Michigan not only shut out its last opponent, Maryland, but dominated BYU 31-0 the weekend prior to that at home. The Wolverines are holding opposing offenses at a stifling rate, as Brandon F. Quinn of MLive Media Group noted:
For all of Michigan's success on defense and a stout running game behind De'Veon Smith (331 yards, four touchdowns), the passing game needs to get in order. Jake Rudock has six interceptions to just five touchdowns, which could pose problems against Northwestern's strong defense.
When it comes down to it, neither Northwestern nor Michigan were near the top of the conversation of best Big Ten teams entering the season. With a win on Saturday, either of them would break through into that category.
