Arsenal dominated Manchester United during the first half of Sunday's Week 8 Premier League match, putting three quick goals past the Red Devils and cruising to a 3-0 win. Liverpool and Everton held each other to a 1-1 draw, and Swansea and Tottenham Hotspur also shared the spoils.
Manchester City showed their awesome attacking prowess on Saturday, beating Newcastle United 6-1, while defending champions Chelsea continued their slide with a 3-1 loss at the hands of Southampton. Here are the full results for Week 8:

Round-Up
Alexis Sanchez scored twice and Mesut Ozil added a goal of his own to guide Arsenal to an easy 3-0 win over United, who looked toothless at the Emirates and never looked likely to complete a comeback.
It took the Gunners just seven minutes to take a two-goal lead, with Ozil first finding Sanchez at the near post before finishing a quick counter himself, and when the Chilean added a third in the 20th minute, the match was effectively over. United's midfield never got going, and Arsenal's defence easily contained United in the second half.
Manchester Evening News' Samuel Luckhurst summed up a few key issues for the Red Devils:
Perhaps the biggest issue was Arsenal's superb form, however. While the Red Devils looked pedestrian, it shouldn't take away from the Gunners' superb performance, which was sorely needed after the dreadful showing against Olympiacos. On Sunday, Arsene Wenger's men show they can be viable title contenders and bounce back from a setback in one fell swoop.
Liverpool and Everton served up an entertaining and feisty Merseyside derby which ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw, marking the fifth time in their last six matches the Reds have finished a match by that score, per WhoScored.com.
Danny Ings and Romelu Lukaku took advantage of some shoddy defending to score just minutes apart, and per Artur Petrosyan of Sport-Express.ru, that was no accident:
The result is yet another blow to the Reds and manager Brendan Rodgers, whose future is becoming less secure by the week. Liverpool sit two points out of the European spots but are playing pedestrian football, and unless things improve drastically, the Northern Irishman could be out of a job before long.
In Sunday's final match, Christian Eriksen converted two free-kicks to salvage a point for Spurs in Wales. Swansea twice took the lead through Andre Ayew and a Harry Kane own-goal, but Eriksen's set-piece prowess once again saved the day for Tottenham.
Sergio Aguero stole the show on Saturday with a five-goal haul against Newcastle United, his first vintage performance of the season since City's 3-0 win over Chelsea in Week 2. As shared by the Premier League's official Twitter account, he joined a very exclusive group of players to have managed the feat:
City suffered an early setback, with Aleksandar Mitrovic opening the score, but once their fearsome attack started clicking, the Citizens were unstoppable. Kevin de Bruyne also got his name on the scoresheet, and David Silva was his usual, dominant self in midfield.
Newcastle are now last in the Premier League standings following the result, and the Magpies are one of just two clubs yet to win a match this season.
While City fans across the country were smiling on Saturday, the same can't be said for the Chelsea faithful, whose horror season continued against Southampton. The Blues once again came out flat and encountered a reinvigorated Saints team which played a smart, mature match and walked out of Stamford Bridge with three points.
Willian gave the Blues hope with a stunning free-kick, but Steven Davis, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle brought Southampton back, giving the Saints a deserved 3-1 win.
Most fans and pundits expected Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to blow up in his post-match press conference, but few will have hoped for the seven-minute rant that ensued when someone managed to get him in front of a camera, per the Daily Mirror's Liam Corless. The interview included some serious shots at the FA:
"And, I repeat, if the FA wants to punish me, they can punish me. They don't punish other managers, they punish me, but it's not a problem for me.
I want to repeat because I think my players deserve it, Chelsea fans deserve it, I am a Chelsea fan too, and I want to say it again: referees are afraid to giving decisions to Chelsea.

The Daily Mirror's Ed Malyon noted Mourinho's criticism of the officiating was limited to his team only:
Eight matches into the season, the Blues sit in 16th place in the standings, an embarrassing spot for the defending champions. It's going to take an incredible comeback just to qualify for the Champions League, and a title-defence already seems out of the question.
In Saturday's other matches, Jamie Vardy continued his fine scoring form for Leicester City in their 2-1 win over Norwich City, finding the net from the penalty spot. The Foxes are enjoying a fantastic season and still sit in the European spots after nearly a quarter of the season has been played.
West Ham United were held to a 2-2 draw by Sunderland, allowing the Black Cats to climb above Newcastle in the standings, while Crystal Palace beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0, courtesy of second-half goals from Yannick Bolasie and Yohan Cabaye.
Bournemouth and Watford shared the spoils in a battle of the newly-promoted sides, and Marko Arnautovic scored the only goal in Stoke City's 1-0 win at Aston Villa. The Villans join Sunderland and Newcastle in the relegation zone.
