La Liga Results 2015 Week 7: Final Scores and Updated Table After Saturday
Barcelona inexplicably lost, 2-1, to lowly Sevilla on Saturday, as they fell to defeat in Lionel Messi's absence.
Poor defending by the Blaugrana was their undoing, as the hosts grabbed a vital win at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Barca dominated the latter stages after conceding two quick goals in the second half, but the comeback wasn't enough to take a share of the spoils.

Saturday Recap
Sevilla stole the headlines as they defeated visitors Barcelona on Saturday, propelling themselves away from the relegation zone.
A 52nd-minute Michael Krohn-Dehli goal punctured a goalless first half for the hosts, with Vicente Iborra doubling the lead only six minutes later to shock Barca.
However, the fightback began as Neymar pulled one back for coach Luis Enrique's team, with the visitors proceeding to hit the woodwork on three occasions as they hunted an equaliser.

But the vital goal didn't come, as Barca fell to defeat in the league for the first time since Messi was ruled out by injury.
The Blaugrana's side was shaped by those missing through injury, with Andres Iniesta, Rafinha, Thomas Vermaelen and Adriano all out.
Ben Hayward of Goal.com gave his thoughts after the final whistle, praising Sevilla for kick-starting their campaign after a sorry start:
"On another day, Barca would have won this and perhaps even comfortably. But Sevilla played with impressive intensity and penetrated the Blaugrana back line on a number of occasions. Unai Emery's side scored twice (the first goals conceded by the returning Claudio Bravo this season), but they could have added more.
"

Sporting Gijon took the most dramatic win of the day, as a 92nd-minute Alex Menendez strike obtained the win at Espanyol.
A 10th-minute goal from Alen Halilovic gave Gijon the opener and half-time lead, but Felipe Caicedo equalised from close range just after the hour mark.
It appeared the points would be shared as the clock ticked down to the final whistle, but Menendez's left-footed shot found the bottom corner after good work from Omar Mascarell.
Deportivo were left disappointed on their trip to Granada, as the home side fought back to claim a 1-1 draw in Andalusia.
Faycal Fajr scored for Depor midway through the first half after a Fernando Navarro assist, but Piti's 65th-minute effort guaranteed a point for his side.

Little Eibar continue to confound their critics after a 2-0 win away to Las Palmas. Saul Berjon gave the Gunners the perfect start with an early goal, with Borja Baston doubling their advantage just after the hour, taking three points.
Malaga saw off David Moyes' Sociedad side with a 3-1 win—and hat-trick for Charles. Los Boquerones were 2-0 up within seven minutes, but the visitors soon attained a foothold in the match through a 14th-minute goal from Imanol Agirretxe's header.
Charles completed his hat-trick in the dying embers of the match, finishing off Sociedad with a minute of normal time remaining.
Barcelona will not be panicking after their surprise loss, and it was the depth of injuries that hurt the starting XI, rather than just simply Messi's absence.
However, a team with Luis Suarez and Neymar in their ranks should be looking to beat a side with such poor form, with the Sevillistas in dire straits in recent times.
But it was a great night for the hosts as they climbed into mid-table, and they will feel their La Liga season can begin in earnest as they look to repeat the success of last term.
