Recap

Newcastle fans were probably hoping for an upset win over City when Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the score for the Magpies, but a masterclass from Aguero―and the Citizens as a whole―in the second half turned the match upside down, leading to a one-sided win for the title favourites.
Kevin De Bruyne was superb for City, but the star of the show was undoubtedly Aguero. His five goals equalled a Premier League record, as shared by the league's official Twitter account:
Aguero's 2015-16 campaign may have gotten off to a rocky start, as he entered Saturday's match with just one Premier League goal to his name, but the Argentina international once again finds himself in the thick of the race to become top scorer after just one phenomenal outing.
As if his performance wasn't scary enough, manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed he was far from 100 per cent fit, via Squawka News:
This is bad news for the rest of the Premier League, who will have to find a way to slow down Aguero, David Silva and De Bruyne, who has fit into this City squad almost seamlessly. According to Het Laatste Nieuw's Kristof Terreur, he's averaging a goal or assist for every match he has played.
Leicester City's Vardy remains the Premier League's top scorer, however, scoring seven goals in eight matches. He was once again on point against Norwich City, opening the score from the penalty spot.
As shared by OptaJoe, consistency is the name of the game for the 28-year-old:
Bleacher Report UK shared this remarkable statistic when he converted his penalty:
While it was easy to dismiss Vardy's fast start when he scored a handful of goals in the first week of the season, it's time to start acknowledging that the Foxes ace is the real deal.
Similar to Queens Park Rangers' Charlie Austin in 2014-15, he finds himself in a perfect situation, with Mahrez taking the pressure off, and there's no reason to believe his scoring won't continue.
Aguero should still be your pick to win the top scorer's title if you're a betting man, but expect Vardy to finish the season near the top of that list.
Mahrez couldn't add to his tally as an unused substitute, but Ighalo did for his Watford side, equalising for the Hornets after Glenn Murray opened the scoring for Bournemouth. Murray had a unique opportunity to add a second and win the Cherries the match, but he missed a penalty in the second half.
In Saturday's late match, Graziano Pelle found the back of the net for Southampton, scoring once in the Saints' 3-1 win over Chelsea.
Dimitri Payet continued his fine form in West Ham United's 2-2 draw against Sunderland, while the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Bafetimbi Gomis and Olivier Giroud will have a chance to add to their goal tallies on Sunday.
