Jose Mourinho Avoids FA Charge over Alleged Eva Carneiro Remarks
Jose Mourinho will face no punishment in relation to alleged discriminatory remarks made by the Chelsea manager to the club's former head doctor Eva Carneiro, the Football Association has announced.
There were suggestions that Mourinho used abusive language toward his ex-staff member during a fixture against Swansea City on September 8, but the Press Association reported on Wednesday that the Blues boss has been cleared (via Daily Mail).
Sports lawyer Jake Cohen adds the FA consulted a Portuguese linguistics expert in order to reach its verdict, coming to the conclusion that no abusive language had been used by Mourinho during the incident:

The Daily Mail's Matt Lawton confirmed Carneiro's exit from the club on September 22, at which point it was alleged the former medical staff member was considering legal action against the Premier League outfit.
Amid a very unfortunate spell of on-pitch form, the Carneiro situation has only worsened the gloom over Stamford Bridge and caused the Premier League Doctors' Group to demand safeguards be put in place, per the Press Association:
In a separate report, Lawton provided information that Mourinho was alleged to have called Carneiro "filha da puta," which translates from Portuguese as "daughter of a w---e."
However, the former Real Madrid chief contested those claims, insisting he used the masculine translation of the term "filho da puta," meaning "son of a b---h," and it appears his side of the story has held following investigation.
