Keylor Navas, Real Madrid
Real goalkeeper Keylor Navas has been impressive this season and thus far let in just the one goal in La Liga.
It often looked over the summer as though the Costa Rican would leave Real in 2015-16 as David De Gea's arrival seemed imminent as the long-term replacement for Iker Casillas.
However, De Gea stayed in Manchester, and Navas has done his best to prove that Real never needed the Spaniard in the first place.
Against Atleti this weekend Navas faces the biggest test of the season so far. The corresponding fixture last season at the Vicente Calderon saw Real ship four in a 4-0 drubbing.
In the likes of Antonie Griezmann, Jackson Martinez and Fernando Torres Atleti have some devastating attacking talents and the Frenchman is likely to cause the most trouble in front of goal.
Navas will need to marshal his defence well and be alert to Atleti's attacking combinations if Real are to keep a clean sheet on Sunday.
Antonie Griezmann, Atletico Madrid
Griezmann has been phenomenal for most of this season and he will be the key man for Atleti in their attempts to get one over their city rivals.
Per WhoScored.com, he has been one of the most creative players in La Liga so far this term and is the conductor of Atletico's attacking play:
He was poor last time out in the league and Atleti were uninspiring as a result, losing 1-0 to Villarreal.
A repeat performance from the 24-year-old against Real and the hosts will struggle to get themselves even a point at home.
However, if Griezmann can find his magic touch once again, Diego Simeone's side will be well set to repeat the trick they performed four times last season by beating their archrivals.
Griezmann will be well marshaled by the Los Blancos defence, but he has the ability to be the difference-maker on the day.
Neymar, Barcelona

With Messi out until mid-November through a knee injury picked up last time out in La Liga against Las Palmas, Brazilian superstar Neymar needs to step into the lead role in Barca's attack.
Sevilla have had a poor start to the season—they currently lie 16th in La Liga—but they will be no pushovers at home.
Per Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe, the Camp Nou giants are struggling for depth in attack at the moment following the losses of Messi and Rafinha to long-term injury:
This puts even more pressure on the likes of Neymar and striker Luis Suarez to perform at the very highest level in every match.
It is undeniably a harder task without Messi, but Neymar has the ability to propel the Barca team forward.
He is already the talisman of the Brazilian national team at just 23 years old, which shows that he can be the man to fill Messi's boots at Barca while the Argentine is sidelined.
