
Arrests Made After Tottenham vs. Arsenal Crowd Trouble
The Metropolitan Police have arrested 10 supporters after trouble flared in the aftermath of Arsenal’s League Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.
According to Marc Higginson of BBC Sport, the fans were arrested at White Hart Lane for a “range of offences…including criminal damage.” The Football Association will now assist the police as the matter is now a “criminal issue.” Neither Arsenal nor Tottenham will be punished by the FA.

After the final whistle, Arsenal supporters, celebrating a 2-1 win, were seen pulling advertising hoardings out of their brackets at the front of the upper tier. Those involved were then letting the broken pieces fall down into the lower tier, where their fellow supporters were exiting the stadium.

According to Rob Harris of the Press Association, there were also some scuffles between Arsenal supporters and stewards in the stadium.

Mathieu Flamini was the hero on the night for the Gunners, as he bagged a surprise brace to win the game for his team, the second of which was a sublime volley from outside the penalty area. Arsenal were drawn against Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in Round 4 of the competition.
