Jose Mourinho Talks Diego Costa, John Terry After Chelsea's Win over Arsenal
Jose Mourinho hailed the efforts of Diego Costa after Chelsea's 2-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday, saying the Spaniard was his man of the match, per the Blues' official Twitter account, and suggested he has no issues with how physically his striker sometimes plays.
The Sunday World's Kevin Palmer shared some of his comments on Costa:

Chelsea took the lead through young defender Kurt Zouma, who replaced John Terry in the heart of the defence, before Eden Hazard put the match out of reach late on. Arsenal finished the match with just nine players, with Gabriel Paulista and Santi Cazorla both receiving their marching orders.
As expected, Saturday's clash was fast and furious, with emotions running high. Mourinho refused to talk about the two red cards, saying he couldn't see what happened, but he did take a shot at the Gunners and how they let their emotions get the best of them, via the Daily Mirror's Arash Hekmat:
"I think I’ve played against Arsenal 15, 16 times. Only once they didn’t moan. I don’t know why, perhaps it is because they won that game.
I remember my words to my players on my first derby. To win? Emotional control.
I always repeat these words before derbies in Portugal, England, Italy, Spain. You always need emotional control
"
While veteran centre-back Terry didn't start Saturday's all-important clash, he still drew praise from Mourinho after the match. He explained he chose Zouma because he anticipated Arsenal would play defensively and try and use Theo Walcott's speed, per Palmer, before telling reporters Terry's team-mates respect him even more as they saw how he took the decision as a professional:
He also said he didn't have to explain to Terry why he would start on the bench, as the veteran defender knows how Mourinho thinks about the game:
There was plenty of speculation over whether Mourinho and his Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger would shake hands before and after the match, and the Blues manager immediately answered those questions by waiting for Wenger on the touchline before the match.
There was no repeat after the final whistle, however, with Wenger immediately disappearing down the tunnel. Per Hekmat, Mourinho had no problems with that, saying: “No problem today. I did my job. Mr Wenger did his job. And now back to normality.”
That didn't stop him from taking one more shot at his rival, however, per Palmer:
Saturday's win was sorely needed for Chelsea, who have started the 2015-16 campaign in dreadful fashion and sat just outside of the relegation zone heading into the match against Arsenal.
Things worked out perfectly for Mourinho, with Zouma playing a fantastic match and opening the score―justifying his inclusion in the team―and Hazard, last year's PFA Player of the Year, finally getting off the mark in the Premier League.
Mourinho will hope the momentum of this big win over London rivals Arsenal carries over to next week, when Chelsea face Newcastle United.
