Mayweather vs. Berto Results: Money's Post-Fight Celebration and Comments
To the surprise of nobody, Floyd Mayweather's career ended the way it began.
He wrapped up his career by earning a unanimous decision over Andre Berto in Las Vegas on Saturday night, dominating the fight by using his speed and quickness to get in and out of the pocket and land sharp punches whenever he wanted.
Berto, who lost three of his last six fights prior to facing Mayweather, gave an earnest effort, but he was no match for his opponent's skill and quickness.
Mayweather had said during his preparations for Berto that it would be the last time he stepped into the ring. His goal was to finish his career with a 49-0 record—the same record with which the legendary Rocky Marciano finished his heavyweight career—and then leave the sport.

While boxers tend to unretire with great frequency, Mayweather immediately said after the fight that this was his last fight and that his boxing career.
"My career is over," Mayweather said (h/t Dan Rafael of ESPN.com).
As far as celebrating in the ring was concerned, Mayweather did not do a lot of demonstrating, fist-pumping or screaming. The only thing he did was look contemplatively up at the ceiling of the MGM Grand when the fight was over and then drop to his knees.

"I dropped to my knees and gave thanks to God," Mayweather told ESPN's Jeremy Schaap on air. "I had a great career. I'm older and after each fight my hands are breaking down. The body is breaking down, not from taking punishment, but from all the hard work. It's time for me to hang it up. I had a great career."
Many fight fans were underwhelmed with the Mayweather-Berto fight. Yahoo columnist Dan Wetzel took issue with the fight:
"If you thought Mayweather-Pacquiao was boring, Mayweather-Berto taking it to another level.

Mayweather's last fight brought congratulations from Amir Khan, even if it didn't please all the fans who watched it:
"Great fight! congrats @FloydMayweather all the best for the future, much respect to @AndreBerto gave it everything done himself proud 👊🏽
