WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for August 31
Seth Rollins has plenty to be uneasy about with Sting stalking him on Monday's edition of WWE Raw and the man he dethroned at SummerSlam likely to pursue him as well.
The WWE world champ's demeanor is sure to change from last week's SmackDown when Rollins said he would crush Sting's "old bones to dust." He made that speech without Sting's shadow stretching over him. When The Stinger showed up on last Monday's Raw, however, the champion was wide-eyed with fear and in retreat mode.
On Monday night, Rollins faces The Vigilante head on as WWE looks to move on from SummerSlam and start building toward Night of Champions.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
It looked at first like inclement weather might put all that on hold, that safety concerns would trump entertainment. Tropical Storm Erika barreled toward Florida, but eventually wound down and has since been downgraded.
The Amalie Arena has since tweeted that Raw is indeed set for Monday night:
The home of the Tampa Bay Lightning hosts Sting, Rollins and WWE's menagerie of warriors, monsters and oddballs. Backstage reports, house show listings, James Wortman's five-point preview on WWE.com and Twitter provide a good look at what to expect when Raw hits the airwaves on the USA Network at 8 p.m. ET.
Announced for the Amalie Arena
WWE is showing their hand for Raw more than normal. The company looks to entice viewers by announcing a big appearance, a SummerSlam rematch and just how it plans to decide the next No. 1 contender to the Divas Championship.
On Twitter, WWE informed fans that Sting will open the show on Monday night:
Back-to-back Raw appearances for the TNA Hall of Famer are rare, but he's the marquee attraction for the upcoming pay-per-view. It looks like WWE is going to make full use of his name power leading up to that.
The expectation will be that Rollins will be involved somehow. A heel like him doesn't just let a guy ruin his self-congratulatory ceremony without some payback.
Dolph Ziggler will battle Rusev in Tampa, two weeks after their SummerSlam bout ended in a double count-out. On its official website, WWE announced, "Ziggler and Rusev will take their deeply personal rivalry to Raw for a one-on-one rematch."
In a video interview hyping the action, Lana promised to destroy Summer Rae if she got involved:
Monday's Raw will also feature the crowning of a top challenger to Nikki Bella's title. Each member of PCB will compete in the first-ever Divas Beat the Clock Challenge. WWE broke the news on its Facebook page with JoJo informing fans of the trail-blazing matchup.
News, Potential Spoilers
For those wondering if the Sting promised for Monday's Raw will end up being Rollins dressed up as his face-painted challenger or that WWE will pull some other bait-and-switch tactic, don't worry. The real Sting is on his way. Mike Johnson reported "PWInsider has confirmed Sting is 100 percent set for Raw Monday."
Fans can be certain that they won't be seeing King Barrett or Bad News Barrett, however.
The brawler will be busy filming his next movie. Barrett confirmed on Twitter that he is shooting Eliminators in England:
Monday's Raw may feature the return of a woman who is not yet part of the Divas Revolution angle. Natalya has been gone for weeks now after her husband Tyson Kidd underwent neck surgery.
Natalya got back to action on the house show circuit. She wrestled at two live events over the weekend, as seen on ProFightDB.com. This was her first taste of the ring since the beginning of August when WWE traveled to Australia.
Last Monday, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper welcomed a new member to their clan. Powerhouse Braun Strowman introduced himself to Reigns and Ambrose in violent fashion. There may be another addition to the family at some point.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc), WWE officials have discussed the possibility of have someone play Sister Abigail to join The Wyatt Family.
As James Caldwell noted for Pro Wrestling Torch, the advertised talent other than Sting and Rollins includes Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, The New Day, The Prime Time Players, Big Show, Neville, Reigns and Ambrose.
Early Night of Champions Build
The Dudley Boyz shook up the tag team division by returning to WWE last week. It looks as if they will be making more of an impact come Monday night.
In his five-point preview, Wortman asked, "Will a member of The New Day face a 3D on Raw, or will another unfortunate Superstar be picking splinters out of his skin Monday night?"
This sure sounds like a tease of some singles action between either Bubba Ray or D-Von Dudley against one of the tag team champions. WWE often goes that route during tag feuds, so it wouldn't be surprising in the least.
Another set of teams will likely clash as well. After Strowman attacked Ambrose and Reigns last week, the babyfaces will surely be entering Monday's Raw with bad intentions.
It's not clear whether WWE plans to continue to play up the three-on-two advantage or if Reigns and Ambrose will eventually find themselves a partner. Their old running mate from The Shield won't be available.
Rollins wouldn't want to help out his former partners, but it appears his night will be full regardless.
In addition to his issues with Sting, John Cena is sure to be on the hunt for him. Last week, Cena slammed Jon Stewart to the mat to pay him back for his intrusion at SummerSlam. He should now be focused on the man who took the United States Championship from him.
Wortman hinted that things will go that way when he reminded fans that "the Cenation leader has yet to get his hands on Rollins in the wake of SummerSlam."
And when Rollins is done dealing with Cena, he and Sting have a WWE title match to hype.
It appears that the statue Rollins was promised last week will come into play during that process. It seemed like the statue storyline was just a way to have Sting appear and set off their feud.
Don't bet on the bronze version of The Architect being shoved into a closet somewhere, though. Wortman wrote, "There's still the matter of Rollins' missing statue, which was to be unveiled last Monday night before Sting's ambush. Will 'The Future of WWE' reclaim his bronze likeness this week?"
WWE has to hope that Rollins' pursuit of said statue, the Divas title picture coming into focus and Ziggler taking on Rusev equals strong ratings.
