FedEx Cup Standings 2015: Latest Rankings After Barclays Tournament
Jordan Spieth may have been the story in the first part of the 2015 golf season, but as the season hits its stretch run, nobody is hotter than Jason Day.
The Australian star ran away with The Barclays in Edison, New Jersey, and in winning the first of the FedEx Cup playoff tournaments, Day has moved into the lead in the FedEx Cup point standings.
Day, who picked up his first major victory at the PGA Championship in Kohler, Wisconsin two weeks ago, shot a 19-under-par 261, giving him a six-stroke victory over runner-up Henrik Stenson. Day was especially hot in the final two rounds of the tournament, as he closed with rounds of 63-62.
Day has won three of his last four tournaments, and he is on the kind of roll that could lead him to the FedEx Cup championship in September. Day has won four tournaments overall this season.
"It's been a special summer for me, and it's not over," Day told the Associated Press after winning the tournament (h/t Golf.com). "To be able to play the way I did over the weekend is fantastic. Today was just phenomenal golf."

In addition to moving past Spieth in FedEx Cup points, he is the third-ranked golfer in the world behind Rory McIlroy and Spieth. Any one of those three players could end up with the No. 1 ranking by the conclusion of next week's Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston.
Day has been playing scintillating golf. In his last five tournaments, he finished tied for fourth, first, tied for 12th, first and first.

Stenson, who won the 2013 FedEx Cup playoffs, made a huge jump up the ladder with his second-place finish. He moved up 37 spots with his excellent performance and is now fourth-ranked in points. Stenson fired six birdies and two bogeys and finished with a final-round score of 66. This was Stenson's second second-place finish of the year. He was also a runner-up at Bay Hill in March.

Day has a 290-point lead over Spieth in FedEx points, while Bubba Watson, Stenson and Zach Johnson hold down the next three places. The top 100 players in the FedEx Cup points race are eligible to play at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
While Day has been playing sensational golf, it's hard to imagine a more thrilling round than the one that Brian Harman had. His final score was a moderately impressive 68 and he finished 31st in the tournament, but Harman became the third player in tour history to have two holes-in-one in the same round.
He fired an ace on the 184-yard third hole with a 7-iron after starting with a pair of bogeys. Harman repeated his brilliance on the 220-yard 14th hole when he struck his 4-iron with perfection.

Japan's Yusaku Miyazato recorded the feat at the Reno-Tahoe Open in 2006, while amateur Bill Whedon accomplished it at the Insurance City Open 60 years ago.
Traditionally, golfers who record an ace in a round treat the other golfers at the bar to a round (or more) of drinks. Harman was lamenting his fate.
“It's going to hurt. It's going to hurt real bad,” he told Rex Hoggard of the Golf Channel.
