Becky Lynch's Performance and Victory
It was a great night for Team PCB at SummerSlam, as they managed to see off Team B.A.D. and Team Bella, but one Diva in particular is likely more pleased than the rest.
Becky Lynch's first few weeks on the main roster have been overshadowed a touch by the impressive form of Paige and Charlotte, but WWE decided to try to let her stand on her own two feet at SummerSlam, and it paid off.
The decision to hand Lynch the winning pinfall could pay off massively in the coming weeks, as it has given Lynch a huge platform to build on.
And thankfully, Lynch's overall performance also caught the eye. She proved to everyone that she is a supremely talented wrestler, something anyone who watched NXT and her bouts with the likes of Sasha Banks already knew.
It's still unclear who will face Nikki Bella when she finally puts her Divas Championship on the line. After this performance, maybe Lynch could get the shot.
Stephen Amell's Performance
The biggest surprise of the night and a moment that slipped under the radar was Stephen Amell's first performance in a WWE ring.
Amell was thrown in at the deep end and asked to compete against Stardust and King Barrett. To say he held his own would be an understatement.
There were some great spots, and the whole performance in general was polished, but the highlight had to be Amell leaping from the top rope to the outside and taking down both Barrett and Stardust in one swoop.
If you had tuned in to WWE for the first time in months without any idea of who Amell was, you'd have been almost convinced he was a new guy on the roster. It was that solid of an effort.
The showing was so good that Amell threw his newly created WWE record into his Twitter bio. Let's face it; we'd all have done the same.
KO Gets a Clean Victory
Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro could have ended up being the standout bout of the night at SummerSlam, but Jon Stewart's run-in and the deceptive method Undertaker used to beat Brock Lesnar overshadowed the talent inside the ring.
There's no doubting that Owens vs. Cesaro was a great match, and the significance of the result could have a huge bearing on Owens' resurgence.
He'd had a lean few weeks after John Cena beat him several times, especially compared to the explosive debut in which he took out Cena and then beat him at Elimination Chamber.
Beating Cesaro cleanly in the middle of the ring has given him something big to work with, and it could mean a shot at a title in the coming months.
There will be plenty of talk about how the defeat may have harmed Cesaro, but it's important to remember the other guy in the feud too. Owens has benefited from SummerSlam more than most.
