WWE SummerSlam 2015 Results: Worst Booking Decisions from PPV
Most fans in the WWE Universe were excited for the 2015 edition of SummerSlam, but several instances of poor booking doomed the pay-per-view and turned off many people with certain outcomes.
Between Undertaker's defeating Brock Lesnar, Jon Stewart's costing John Cena the victory against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns' pinning Bray Wyatt, WWE Creative really mailed in its effort Sunday night.
Here are the worst booking decisions from the 2015 edition of SummerSlam.

Undertaker Defeats Brock Lesnar
Undertaker's win over Lesnar via submission was not the biggest issue with the SummerSlam main event, but it was just the culmination of a series of bad booking decisions that plagued this much-hyped rematch.
For the most part, the battle between Lesnar and Undertaker exceeded expectations. After Undertaker suffered the concussion at WrestleMania 30, that match fell apart. Sunday’s bout told a great story but came up short thanks to a botched ending.
Not only did WWE manage to make Undertaker look weak in tapping out to Lesnar at the tail end of the match, but the company also made its referees look awful by missing that moment, then made Lesnar look bad in taking the submission loss.
The problem is that WWE Creative was trying to make everyone look strong coming out of the PPV, since both really earned submission wins, but the problem is that the conclusion was so clunky and confusing that neither man looked strong.
The indecision at the end also possibly set up another match between the men, and there are better ways to use both Lesnar and Undertaker moving forward.
Jon Stewart Costs John Cena the Victory
In one of the most unexpected turns in wrestling history, former Daily Show and 2015 SummerSlam host Jon Stewart came out with a chair during the title-versus-title match Sunday night and attacked John Cena.
What?
The match between Cena and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and United States Championship was living up to the hype in the ring for the most part, but the 15-time champion looked to be gaining the upper hand.
Instead of giving Rollins a clean victory or even letting Sheamus attempt a Money in the Bank cash-in to cause a disqualification, Stewart attacked Cena with the chair and helped Rollins walk away with both the world and United States titles.
While WWE will hopefully explain this decision on Monday’s episode of Raw, this was atrocious booking. Rollins now holds the two top singles titles in the company but still looks incredibly weak.
Roman Reigns Pins Bray Wyatt
Lost in the shuffle of Stewart's costing Cena the match and the convoluted finish between Undertaker and Lesnar is the fact that Bray Wyatt took a clean pinfall loss to Roman Reigns on Sunday.
If Reigns and Dean Ambrose were going to earn the victory anyway, the company should have booked Luke Harper to take the pinfall, not the man who is being built as one of the top heels in the company.
Not only did Wyatt take an unnecessary loss on Sunday, but it also came at the hands of the less talented Reigns. Wyatt, Harper and Ambrose put on a great match, but it was Reigns who got the hot tag and was given the chance to steal the show with his spots.
Instead, the Brooklyn fans booed Reigns mercilessly. After the outcome to Sunday’s match, the reaction from the crowd was justified.
