The bad blood between Rusev and Dolph Ziggler doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon after the two wrestled to a double count-out Sunday night at SummerSlam.
They were battling on the outside when neither Superstar could get back into the ring to beat the 10-count. Ziggler wasn't happy he couldn't put Rusev away for good (via the WWE Universe):

After the match, Lana and Summer Rae got into a bit of a skirmish, which Rusev and Ziggler had to break up (via SummerSlam):
Bleacher Report's Mike Chiari was less than satisfied with the finish:
Considering few matchups on the SummerSlam card were as emotionally charged as Rusev vs. Ziggler, you can understand Chiari's frustration.
The wheels were set in motion shortly after John Cena defeated Rusev at Payback. Shortly thereafter, Rusev unceremoniously dumped Lana:
While a contrite Rusev attempted to mend their relationship, Lana moved on and began a courtship with Ziggler. That only served to make The Bulgarian Brute more irate, and he turned his anger toward Ziggler. But Rusev's leg injury kept him out of action for a while.
In the meantime, he and Summer Rae began to form a professional relationship, which added a different dimension to the whole Lana dynamic.
On the July 6 episode of Raw, Rusev showed his injured leg had healed after he attacked Ziggler with one of his crutches:
With Ziggler out injured, Rusev and Summer Rae had free reign to terrorize Lana. Their verbal attacks turned physical on Aug. 10 after Summer Rae locked Lana in The Accolade:
Knowing she couldn't take both Rusev and Summer Rae on her own, Lana called in reinforcements a week later:
Lana reveled in obtaining a measure of revenge:
Given the nature of their SummerSlam match, you'd bet the house Rusev and Ziggler will finish their rivalry at Night of Champions or potentially Hell in a Cell, depending on how long WWE wants to play this out.
While most fans will quite rightly feel a bit underwhelmed with a double count-out, it makes the most sense in the grand scheme of things. Lana and Summer Rae deserve to have a say in how this feud ends beyond just shoving matches after the final bell.
WWE would be smart to put all four competitors in a tag team match to prove who is the one true power couple.
