Malachi Toney Injured, Latest Rumors on Miami WR's Status vs. Notre Dame

The Miami Hurricanes could be tasked with defending their No. 1 ranking without their star wide receiver.

Malachi Toney is uncertain to play Saturday against No. 11 Notre Dame due to an ankle injury, ESPN's Pete Thamel and Max Olson reported.

Thamel noted "Toney is expected to press and attempt to play, given the magnitude of the game."

The Hurricanes and Fighting Irish are set to kick off the Week 10 matchup Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Notre Dame Stadium.
