WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from August 19
NXT made its last stop on the road to TakeOver on Wednesday night with a superb episode of its weekly television show, which airs exclusively on the WWE Network.
For the final time before their ladder match this weekend, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor shared the same ring. After the No. 1 contender left the NXT champion lying on last week's show, The Demon looked to avenge the Pop-up Powerbomb and did so with the assistance of a parlor trick or two.
Bayley and Sasha Banks signed on the dotted line for their huge NXT Women's Championship match on Saturday. Frustrated and angered by the insults hurled her way by The Boss, Bayley snapped, attacking her rival and adding even more intensity to the program.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Tyler Breeze sent a message to the legendary Jushin "Thunder" Liger, Baron Corbin left Samoa Joe in a heap, and the tag teams enjoyed the spotlight to round out the night's festivities.
Again, NXT proved that it can accomplish in one hour what WWE's main roster programs wish they could in two or three hours, providing fans with entertaining and compelling television that effectively sold this weekend's TakeOver special.
Who were the night's biggest winners, and which Superstars were branded losers coming out of Wednesday's broadcast?
Let's take a look.
Winner: Kevin Owens
A true heel believes everything he says, speaking with conviction whether he is right or wrong. It just so happens that thus far in his stint with WWE, Owens has been correct more times than not, making him a unique character that has struck a chord with the audience.
He has no problem calling fans out on their hypocrisy, something he did again Wednesday night in a blistering, fantastic promo that sold his NXT Championship opportunity against Finn Balor on Saturday night and reminded everyone why he is one of the most captivating talkers in the industry.
While he has lost momentum on the main roster in recent weeks, he continues to be one of the breakout performers of 2015 in NXT.
The closing segment of Wednesday's show was a thing of beauty and the perfect way to sell a huge main event match without giving away too much or making either Superstar look bad. A lot of the credit for its success belongs to Owens and his impassioned promo.
Loser: Tyler Breeze
Sure, Prince Pretty has a high-profile match this weekend, squaring off against Jushin "Thunder" Liger in the Japanese legend's first match inside a WWE ring, but it is difficult to ignore the fact that Tyler Breeze has been largely ignored and undervalued in the build to TakeOver. Worse yet is the idea of suddenly building him up only to sacrifice him to Liger in Brooklyn.
Breeze is one of the cornerstones of NXT, a guy who has developed into one of the best workers on the roster. He is a homegrown talent, one of the few guys to come up through the developmental system and outlast numerous others with higher profiles and more sparkling resumes.
He deserves better than being ignored for three months and then being suddenly rebuilt in hopes that he delivers a strong performance in a losing effort against an outsider.
That his segment on Wednesday's show was so lazily booked did him, or his feud with Liger, no favors.
Winner: Bayley
Weeks of television have been building toward Bayley finally getting her hands on the NXT Women's Championship in what should be one of the greatest feel-good moments in the relatively short history of WWE's critically acclaimed developmental brand.
On Wednesday night, she proved that while she may be lovable, she has an aggressive side. She attacked Sasha Banks following a contract signing for their match at TakeOver, taking her down with a Thesz Press on the steel entrance ramp before being separated.
One of the hardest workers on the women's roster and a character who is absolutely beloved, Bayley deserves her impending title victory. There is something about her that allows her to connect with the audience in a way some main roster talents could only wish to.
In what was the final showdown between her and Banks Wednesday night, it was never clearer that the young woman is finally ready to ascend to the top of the NXT Divas mountain as the women's champion.
