Breaking Down Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
This year's SummerSlam is being billed as perhaps the biggest ever, as evidenced by the fact that it's a four-hour show, but it also has a main event befitting of an epic pay-per-view. Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker will look to settle the score at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and with so much bad blood between them, it promises to be a match filled with plenty of excitement and drama.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Who Will Win at SummerSlam?
The Beast Incarnate and The Deadman met face-to-face for just the second time since Battleground on the go-home edition of Raw, and Taker once again gained the upper hand by hitting Lesnar with a low blow before finishing him off with a Tombstone. The Phenom previously low-blowed The Conquerer at Battleground and cost him a chance to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins, which is primarily why two of the all-time greats are set to lock horns at SummerSlam.
The Undertaker explained his actions by bringing up the fact that Lesnar and Paul Heyman have constantly brought up Lesnar ending Taker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30. That prompted The Demon from Death Valley to seek out revenge against Lesnar, and it has developed into WWE's biggest storyline. There is no question WWE is set in the star power department for SummerSlam thanks largely to the presence of both Lesnar and The Undertaker, but there is now pressure on both of them to do WWE's investment in them justice by putting on a great show.
Ring Rust Radio's Take
It is tough to argue with WWE's decision to have Lesnar face The Undertaker in terms of drawing an audience, but it has certainly put itself in a complicated situation with regard to booking. Lesnar shouldn't lose the match cleanly since it would damage the effectiveness of ending the streak and waste much of the great work the creative team has done building him up over the past couple of years. At the same time, Taker shouldn't lose cleanly, either, since he has to be presented as fairly dominant ahead of what could be his final WrestleMania match.
Because of that, WWE's best option is to have someone interfere in the main event in an effort to protect both Superstars. Sting will be in Brooklyn for SummerSlam-related activities, and since most wrestling fans still yearn for a dream match between The Icon and The Phenom, why not have Stinger get involved?
The Undertaker's recent heel-like actions could justify The Vigilante standing up against him, which would allow Lesnar to pick up the win and also set the stage for Sting versus Taker at WrestleMania 32 in Texas. The pieces seem to fit perfectly, and that is why Sting will make a surprise appearance during SummerSlam's headliner.

Breaking Down Seth Rollins vs. John Cena
While it won't main event a stacked SummerSlam card, the champion versus champion match between Seth Rollins and John Cena would headline almost any other pay-per-view on the WWE calendar. Not only are Rollins and Cena two of the biggest stars in the company, but with the stipulation being the winner leaves with both the WWE World Heavyweight and United States Championships, the result of the contest could alter the course of WWE history.
Question on Everybody's Mind: How Will the Title vs. Title Match Play Out?
Much like the match between Lesnar and The Undertaker, it is difficult to predict how WWE will book its way out of the title versus title bout. It is entirely possible that either Rollins or Cena could leave Barclays Center as a double champion, much like Jay Lethal currently is in Ring of Honor, but it seems as though the more likely and logical route would be to book a finish in which neither Superstar comes away with both straps.
There are myriad ways to do that, including disqualification and countout finishes. Those wouldn't necessarily be satisfying results as far as the WWE Universe is concerned, but the match itself promises to be great regardless. Cena is in the midst of the best run of his career from an in-ring perspective, as he has put on some fantastic performances against Kevin Owens, Neville, Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose and many others during his reign as U.S. champ. In addition, Rollins essentially never disappoints in terms of wrestling, so it's tough to envision their encounter flopping.
Ring Rust Radio's Take
Rollins hasn't been booked very well during his time as WWE World Heavyweight champion, but having him lose to Cena would damage his credibility even more. While nobody would argue against the notion that the leader of the Cenation is a viable world champion, there isn't much point in putting the company's top title on him for a 16th time when he is currently restoring the prestige of the United States Championship.
The best—and perhaps only—way to protect both combatants and avoid a double champion while still delivering a satisfying finish would be to involve Money in the Bank contract holder Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior teased a cash-in a couple of weeks ago, and although he was ultimately foiled by Randy Orton, he is still an ever-present threat to strike. The Irish Superstar could interrupt the match, throw Cena out of the equation and cash in on Rollins to become a world champion for the fourth time in his career.
It would also open the door for an interesting situation regarding The Authority. Rollins would get some face sympathy for getting cashed in on by another heel, and it could eventually lead to Sheamus being revealed as the new face of The Authority.
Sheamus may not be the most popular choice to win the world title, but since the main event scene could use a shakeup and Cena doesn't need to lose the United States Championship, his involvement is the best option.

RRR Interview with TNA's DJ Z
TNA was built largely on the exciting style of the X-Division when it came into existence in 2004, and there is little doubt Impact Wrestling's best commodity in that area currently is DJ Z. The former Zema Ion is one of the most entertaining performers TNA has to offer, and he recently sat down with Ring Rust Radio to discuss his career and the future of the company.
Question on Everybody's Mind: What's Next for DJ Z?
DJ Z is a former X-Division champion who has been with TNA since 2011. Although he is a veteran in the company, he is still young at the age of 28. He has a lot of years ahead of him, and while he isn't being utilized as a featured player currently, there is no denying the notion he has all the tools needed to be a star.
One thing DJ Z has had the opportunity to do as of late, thanks to TNA's flexibility, is hone his skills on the independent scene in between TNA's television tapings:
"I think it's cool that we have the freedom to take these bookings when we are not doing TNA stuff. This was a different situation where last year we were super busy with live events and I had no time to do any independent shows. This year, there aren't live events, so I have the freedom to take these independent bookings. It's cool because there is a different kind of pressure and creative outlet for me when I work an independent show versus a TNA TV show. ... It's cool to travel, see other parts of the world, meet new people and have those experiences.
"
DJ Z is among the most cultured and well-versed wrestlers in TNA or any other wrestling company right now due to his experience working in different countries and learning different styles. That will only help him as he moves forward in his wrestling career, and it is something that should give him a leg up on his peers as well.
Ring Rust Radio's Take
There are seemingly always whispers regarding TNA and its viability as negative stories are constantly reported in the media. While that is something that could take a toll on the talent, DJ Z is solely focused on entertaining the fans, and he believes TNA has been doing that effectively despite the outside chatter:
"I think what sucks is that fans seem to be very concerned with these inner workings of TNA when there is a great show we are putting out every Wednesday. The show itself is taking a backseat to the controversy and negative reports out there. Don't worry about that, just watch the show and enjoy it. ... It's interesting in that way, but I think it sucks since the show is really strong right now. We have a lot of hungry wrestlers giving it their all every week, and there should be more emphasis on that instead of the behind-the-scenes stuff.
"
Wrestling fans are always going to react to the rumblings around them, but DJ Z certainly makes a good point. TNA is far from perfect, but there are still certain aspects of the company all fans can enjoy, and DJ Z's matches are near the top of that list.
Re-establishing the X-Division is perhaps the easiest way for TNA to put itself back in the right direction, and based on his abilities as an all-around performer, DJ Z should certainly be among the key cogs in that potential resurgence.
