Texas' Colin Simmons Apologizes For Miming Urinating During Celebration, Responds to Johnny Manziel

Texas star defensive end Colin Simmons apologized for celebrating a third-down sack of Tennessee quarterback Faizon Brandon by pretending to urinate on the field Saturday in Knoxville.

Simmons was hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that gave the Volunteers an automatic first down, extending a second-quarter Tennessee drive that ultimately ended without a touchdown.

"I apologize for the celebration. I was definitely in that mode, feeling myself, but, you know. It happens," Simmons said Saturday (h/t On3's Tyler Horka). "Charge it to the game."

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian described Simmons' celebration as a "bad football play" after the No. 1 Longhorns sealed a 20-17 win over No. 14 Tennessee.

Saturday was a historic game for Simmons, who tied a Texas program record with five sacks. He is the first FBS player in 20 seasons to record that many sacks against a ranked team, per ESPN Insights.
