Arch Manning Dazzles, Final Box Score Stats, Highlights, Draft Stock from Texas' Win vs. Texas State

Arch Manning kicked off his 2026 college football campaign with the sixth 300-yard performance of his Texas Longhorns career.

Manning threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday's 59-7 win over the Texas State Bobcats. Texas easily covered the pre-game 29.5-point spread at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Manning didn't waste any time getting Texas on the board with a six-yard touchdown pass to Cam Coleman on the Longhorns' opening series.

Manning led the Longhorns on three straight scoring drives to begin the game. The second touchdown drive resulted in a Manning scoring pass to Ryan Wingo.

The only error from the Texas quarterback was an interception in the second quarter.

Manning threw two more touchdowns in the second half to Coleman and Hollywood Smothers before he was pulled in the third quarter.

The junior signal-caller impressed in his season opener, which is a good sign with bigger games on the horizon.

The big test for Manning takes place next week when the Longhorns take on the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in Austin in what is expected to be one of the best games of the regular season.
