Lesnar Beats Undertaker Via Sting
It’s hard to imagine Lesnar—one of the legitimate toughest men in the world—taking the loss to a 50-year-old man, and it would go against every storyline WWE has built for the former UFC champion since he returned.
On the other hand, Undertaker is a legend and a staple of WrestleMania. Taking his second loss in two years would lower the value of whatever match he is booked in at the 2016 version of WrestleMania from Texas.
The answer to this problem is booking some outside interference.
The hope from the WWE Universe is that we get a long singles match that helps make up for the train wreck fans witnessed at WrestleMania 30 when a concussed Undertaker barely made it through the match. Once the match is drawing to a close, the lights should go dark.
When the lights turn back on, Sting should be waiting in the ring and attack Undertaker. Lesnar could pick up the scraps and steal the win, and, more importantly, WWE would have the main event it needs between Sting and Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.
Sting and Kane Get Involved
The possibility of interference is palpable due to the fact that neither Lesnar nor Undertaker should be taking a clean loss at SummerSlam. Someone getting involved is almost a lock, but there could be more than one Superstar who helps change the outcome of the main event.
One person not being talked about enough is Kane. As the brother of The Undertaker and the man who Lesnar flipped out on and broke his ankle, masked Kane has a legitimate reason to want to get involved in the matchup.
With Kane and Undertaker beating down Lesnar, all hope looks lost for the Beast to be able to pull out the victory, but the lights would go out. When the lights return, the Brothers of Destruction are stunned to see the Vigilante Sting standing between them and Lesnar.
Not only would this ending set up a future battle between Lesnar and Kane—which could take place at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble—but it would also set the stage for the Undertaker vs. Sting match at WrestleMania 32.
Lesnar Beats Undertaker Clean
If interference isn’t an option, the man who deserves and needs the win more is Lesnar. Undertaker is a bona fide legend, and he can overcome a loss. On the other hand, WWE signed Lesnar to a long-term contract and should be building the company around him.
Lesnar is a recent WWE World Heavyweight champion, and he would have won the title back if it weren't for the interference from Undertaker. If anything, the Deadman is the jaded heel in this storyline, and Lesnar is acting as the face looking for vengeance.
The storyline is set up for Lesnar to win and triumph as the face.
It's hard to imagine WWE booking Undertaker to lose clean once again, especially with WrestleMania 32 looming in Texas, but that’s what is best for business. Long after Undertaker goes away, it will be Lesnar carrying the WWE on his shoulders as the top draw.
In the off chance Sting and Kane stay away from this matchup, Lesnar needs and deserves the clean win more than Undertaker.
