Clinton N'Jie to Tottenham: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Clinton N’Jie from Olympique Lyonnais for an undisclosed fee, with the 21-year-old forward signing a five-year deal at White Hart Lane.
News of the transfer's finalisation came via Spurs' official announcement and the attacker will be desperate to make a major impression in the Premier League after a breakthrough season in Ligue 1 during 2014-15.
Here’s a look at what the Tottenham faithful can expect from this audacious Cameroonian forward:

Lyon are renowned for churning out stellar talent from their Tola Vologe academy and N'Jie is a young man who will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of players like Karim Benzema, Ludovic Giuly and Loic Remy.
According to WhoScored.com, N’Jie made 30 total league appearances for Lyon last season, with 15 coming from the substitutes' bench. However, he was still able to contribute seven goals and seven assists for Hubert Fournier’s side, as they came tantalisingly close to lifting the league title.
Ben McAleer of WhoScored provides us with his strong and weak points:
For Spurs, N’Jie will add something refreshing. With players like Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon falling out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino, the team has lacked some speed on the flanks. While N’Jie can play at the point of the attack, you suspect he’ll be stationed on the flanks initially for the north Londoners.

But as noted by Matt Spiro of beIN Sports, there is plenty of developing for the forward to do, including finding a settled position in the side:
Indeed, the money invested by Tottenham seems to be in potential at this juncture. Although N’Jie would add something different to their forward forays, expect Pochettino, like Fournier last season, to utilise the player primarily from the substitutes' bench, thus giving him time to adapt to the tempo of the Premier League.

There’s no denying Spurs may have landed a future star, though, and alongside players like Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Ryan Mason and Eric Dier, Pochettino seems to be slowly building a youthful starting XI. As exciting as that may be for Tottenham fans, some patience will be key when making judgements on their latest acquisition.
