WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from August 10
The build to SummerSlam continued Monday night on Raw, with WWE putting its best foot forward to ensure that every segment it produced had some bearing on the second-biggest pay-per-view extravaganza on its calendar.
From Seth Rollins again letting his mouth get him in trouble, leading to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship defense in the night's main event, to the appearance of Arrow star Stephen Amell, the show was more focused than in recent weeks and really did a fine job of setting up the SummerSlam card.
For that, the oft-maligned WWE Creative was one of the night's biggest winners, even if its effort was far from perfect.

Others who shined brightest on the August 10 episode of the company's flagship show include the surging Cesaro, the returning Ryback and the always stunning Summer Rae.
Why were they the night's biggest winners and which Superstars were not as lucky, landing on the loser's side of the equation?
Take a look for yourself.

Winner: Cesaro
Midway through the Triple Threat No. 1 Contender's match, the fans in Seattle were solidly behind Randy Orton as he battled Cesaro and Kevin Owens for the right to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. As the contest built, though, they began raining down on the squared circle with chants for the Swiss Superman, appreciating the risks he was taking and the work rate he was putting in to earn the title shot.
The former Ring of Honor standout lost the match, falling prey to an RKO, but that does not change the fact that he was both included in one of the night's main events and, more importantly, performed up to the situation. That is the sign of a Superstar who has grown exponentially since his debut with the company in 2012 and someone who's ready to take that next step up the proverbial ladder.
A showing like he delivered Monday will only help to further earn the trust of management, helping him sustain his current push going forward.

Loser: Kevin Owens
The Superstar who was, at one point, the biggest breakout star in all of WWE continued to descend into mediocrity Monday night, delivering another strong in-ring performance that was hardly supported by Creative.
Treated very much like just some other guy, he was an afterthought, never really the favorite to win the Triple Threat match against Cesaro and Randy Orton. Add to that a comment by The Viper about his weight earlier in the show, and it appears the former NXT champion may have fallen out of favor with key members of management.
How that affects him going forward remains to be seen, but the fact he has not yet been announced for a match at SummerSlam demonstrates just how far he has fallen in the weeks since his second consecutive loss to John Cena.

Winner: Luke Harper
One of the most underrated workers in the industry, Harper's victory over Dean Ambrose Monday night suggests management is very serious about keeping the big man relevant. A Superstar whose push has been staggered on and off over the last year, his reunion with Bray Wyatt helps return him to the top of the card, where he will thrive while working with the talented young stars who make up today's WWE roster.
His performance against Ambrose was the typically strong effort fans have come to expect from the heavyweight, and commentator JBL went a long way in putting him over for the viewing audience, comparing him to the great Bruiser Brody.
Harper's win was a much-needed one in that is re-established credibility and put heat on the Wyatt Family ahead of their SummerSlam match against Ambrose and Roman Reigns.

Winner: Summer Rae
The former ballroom-dancing Diva attacked Lana Monday night, leaving the Ravishing Russian in a heap in the center of the ring and putting even more heat and hatred on her and Rusev as SummerSlam approaches.
The intensity she displayed and the Accolade she executed on her rival helped the overall segment and made for a tremendous visual.
While the entire feud has been clunky, at best, Summer Rae has continuously made the most of her latest opportunity and has been the one bright spot in the entire ordeal. Once again Monday night, she was fantastic and is doing as much as anyone to ensure the storyline is not a complete bust.

Winner: Ryback
The Big Guy returned Monday night, and the fans in Seattle greeted him with a huge pop. Chants of "feed me more" broke out as he ran over The Miz with the Meathook Clothesline, knocking the Hollywood A-lister literally out of his shoes.
It was a glorious return for the intercontinental champion, whom fans treated like a huge star in the Pacific Northwest, proving his most recent push has been incredibly effective.
The star of one of the night's best segments, he was perfect in his role of returning babyface and conqueror of the loudmouthed Miz, who had spent minutes running down hometown boy Daniel Bryan on Miz TV.
