Haliburton missed the entire 2025-26 NBA season after tearing his Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. One positive that came from it was the two-time All-Star having more time to spend on his hobbies.
One of his most highly publicized hobbies is attending WWE shows, which is something he has done often in recent years.
Haliburton memorably took part in a segment on SmackDown in June 2024 when the show took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Since he and the Pacers had recently eliminated the New York Knicks from the playoffs, he played the role of heel, attempting to aid Logan Paul.
When Haliburton and Paul were about to attack LA Knight, Knicks star Jalen Brunson got into the ring with a steel chair and chased them off, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Haliburton was also in the crowd for SummerSlam 2025, and he handed John Cena his crutch to use against Cody Rhodes in their WWE Championship match.
In the video highlighting the time he had at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas this year, Haliburton is seen hanging out backstage with WWE Superstars such as Trick Williams and Royce Keys.
Haliburton also showcased his camaraderie with San Francisco 49ers tight end and fellow WWE fan George Kittle, who he sat next to at WrestleMania.
Early in the video, Haliburton predicted that the Night 2 main event between Roman Reigns and CM Punk would perhaps be one of the best matches he ever saw, and they undoubtedly delivered with a Match of the Year candidate, as Reigns beat Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
