Trae Young Welcomes AJ Dybantsa to Wizards, Jokes About Jersey Number During 2026 NBA Draft
The Washington Wizards drafted AJ Dybantsa No. 1 overall during Tuesday night's NBA draft, making him one of the faces of the franchise alongside Trae Young and Anthony Davis (assuming the latter isn't traded).
After the selection, Young welcomed Dybantsa to D.C.
Young committed to the Wizards for the foreseeable future on Monday, reportedly signing a four-year, $212 million deal with the team (with a player option in the fourth year). So Young and Dybantsa are set to be teammates for at least the next few seasons.
Of course, they'll have to decide on who gets to wear the No. 3 that Dybantsa wore during his BYU career.
If Dybantsa lives up to the hype, he'll soon be the main man in Washington. But for now, he'll have players like Young and Davis helping to show him the ropes.
