Alex Karaban to Kings After Cavs Trade 😯
Carr started his college career at Tennessee but left the Vols halfway through the 2024-25 campaign and transferred to Baylor. That proved to be a smart decision, as he had a coming-out party in his lone season with the Bears.
Carr put up 18.9 points, 5.8 boards and 2.6 assists per game last season, shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 37.4 percent from deep. He impressed at the NBA combine, posting 30 points in a scrimmage to boost his draft stock.
Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman compared Carr to Devin Vassell, who helped the San Antonio Spurs reach the NBA Finals in 2026. Carr boasts a plus-eight-inch wingspan and should be able to settle into a three-and-D role.
At just 20 years old, Carr also still has some room to develop as he looks to make an impact on a Lakers team hoping to compete now rather than later.
