WWE Botches That Need Fixing 🛠️

Oba Femi Is About to Get Screwed 😵💫
WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman said this week that he had to fight for Roman Reigns to be referred to as The Tribal Chief when he turned heel in 2020.
During an appearance Tuesday on Insight with Chris Van Vliet (h/t WrestleTalk), Heyman noted that then-WWE chairman Vince McMahon initially pushed back against the name and still wanted to call Reigns The Big Dog:
"The first time I came up with Tribal Chief, [Vince said], 'Really? You want to call him the Tribal Chief?' ... I said, 'Well, I can't be his advocate as Brock Lesnar's advocate. We have to have something different to Roman Reigns, and Roman Reigns has to be different," Heyman said.
"You got to pull the trigger on this. This has to be as much of a seismic shift as The Deadman becoming The American Badass."
Heyman's instincts proved to be correct, as Reigns went on to have the most successful run of his career under the Tribal Chief moniker.
That included a 1,316-day reign as world champion, which is the fourth-longest reign in WWE history and the longest since 1988.
While the Tribal Chief character was initially villainous, it made Reigns more popular than ever before, and it finally gave WWE the returns it was looking for after pushing Reigns as a top guy for several years.
As Tribal Chief, Reigns also built one of the most successful stables of all time in The Bloodline, and it continues to thrive on WWE programming to this day.
A new nickname is a big part of the equation when it comes to Reigns' success since 2020, and fans have Heyman to thank for it.
The Rock Praises Rollins' Finishing Move
WWE legend The Rock named Seth Rollins' Stomp as his favorite finishing maneuver in pro wrestling.
During an interview this week with Complex, The Rock chose Rollins' finisher when asked which signature move would be able to take out the villainous Te Kā in the upcoming, live-action Moana movie:
"I would say Seth Rollins' Stomp," The Rock said. "It's my favorite. I took it at WrestleMania.
"I am a glutton for punishment, so I—there's some finishing moves I loved taking. His is so iconic and I took that. It's a wild—just a face stomp into the mat. It was cool."
At WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia two years ago, The Rock teamed with Reigns in the main event of Night 1 against Cody Rhodes and Rollins.
The Rock and Reigns were victorious, but Rhodes got the last laugh on Night 2 by beating Reigns for the WWE Championship with help from several allies, including Rollins.
WrestleMania 40 marked The Rock's most recent match, although he did play a sizable role in John Cena turning heel prior to WrestleMania 41.
It is unclear when or if The Rock will get back in a WWE ring, but should it happen, his comments suggest he may not be against mixing it up with Rollins once again.
WWE's Reported Plans for Fenix as AAA Cruiserweight Champ
Rey Fenix won the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship at Noche de Los Grandes last month, and WWE reportedly has big plans for him moving forward.
According to Cory Hays of False Finish, the expectation is that Fenix's run as AAA cruiserweight champ will be similar to that of Penta as intercontinental champion/
Penta, who is Fenix's real-life brother, beat Dominik Mysterio for the IC title in March, and he has had many successful defenses since then, primarily on Raw.
He also defeated five challengers in a ladder match at WrestleMania 42 to retain the championship.
Since beating Laredo Kid for the cruiserweight title, Fenix has successfully defended it against Axiom on SmackDown and against both Laredo Kid and Lince Dorado in a Triple Threat in AAA.
Having Fenix defend the title regularly on SmackDown could go a long way toward increasing his popularity with the fans, while also exposing them to the AAA brand.
Consistent IC title defenses have allowed fans to get even more invested in Penta, and Fenix could find himself in the same type of situation.
