New NBA Draft Rumors Reveal Team 'Genuinely Torn' Between AJ Dybantsa, Cam Boozer, Darryn Peterson
The Utah Jazz hold the No. 2 pick in next week's NBA draft, and they apparently aren't quite sure what to do with it just yet.
According to The Athletic's Tony Jones, the Jazz are "genuinely torn" between taking BYU's AJ Dybantsa, Duke's Cameron Boozer or Kansas' Darryn Peterson.
The decision will be made easier for the Jazz when the Washington Wizards make their pick. The Wizards are widely anticipated to select Dybantsa, including by Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman. Wasserman projects the Jazz to take Peterson at No. 2.

According to Jones, the Jazz have hosted Dybantsa and Boozer for private workouts. Peterson canceled his workout because he believes he will be taken first overall, Jones noted.
While Peterson hopes to be heading to Washington, Jones added that the Jazz "won't hesitate to select Peterson" if they believe he's the best player on the board. A similar situation happened last year with Ace Bailey, who skipped a workout with Utah but was selected by the Jazz at No. 5.
Bailey put together a strong rookie season and appears on his way to being a key part of the Jazz's future.
Boozer, who had a phenomenal year at Duke, doesn't make a ton of sense positionally for the Jazz since they already have Jaren Jackson Jr. and Lauri Markkanen in the front court, but he might be too good for them to pass up on.
Not to mention, his father spent nearly half of his career in Utah and was named an All-Star twice in a Jazz uniform.
Regardless of who they decide to take, the Jazz are likely going to get a player who can make an impact immediately. This year's class is one of the best in years, and just about every player in the top five looks close to a sure thing.
