Pope Leo XIV Addresses Bad Bunny, Bears' New Stadium, His World Cup Team & Barcelona-Madrid Rivalry
Pope Leo XIV addressed a number of topics tangential to the world of sports on Saturday morning ahead of a visit from Madrid, from Bad Bunny to where he stands on the Real Madrid vs. Barcelona rivalry.
"If they are confronted with the question 'Do you want to go see Bad Bunny or do you want to go to see the pope?' I think many will see Bad Bunny," he told reporters while discussing a Bad Bunny concern happening in Madrid at the same time as his visit to the city. "But I think there will also be a few here to see the pope. And that says something, you know."

As for Spain's biggest soccer rivalry, the pope stands with Los Blancos.
"That's easy," he told reporters. "The pope is for all teams, but Prevost [his birth name] is Real Madrid."
The Chicago Bears' fan declined to weigh in on the organization's plan to build their new stadium in Hammond, Indiana rather than Illinois, saying "that's out of my pay (scale)" when asked if he had words of consolation for people in Illinois.
And he confirmed that he'll be supporting his birth nation of the United States in the upcoming World Cup.
