Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Pedro and David De Gea Rumours
Manchester United will meet the €30 million (£21.2 million) release clause of Barcelona winger Pedro and complete a deal this week, while the Red Devils stand firm on Real Madrid target David De Gea.
Xavi Hernandez of Spanish newspaper Marca has claimed the UEFA Super Cup fixture against Sevilla on Tuesday will be Pedro's last as a Barcelona player.

With Angel Di Maria officially a Paris Saint-Germain player, United are free to step up their pursuit of a replacement and Pedro appears to fit the bill as the desired successor.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo (h/t Inside Spanish Football), United recently handed Pedro a "48-hour window" to make his decision, but they would still be willing to do a deal after that deadline:

The Red Devils found out on Friday that they are set to meet Club Brugge in the Champions League playoff round, with the first leg of that fixture taking place at Old Trafford on August 18.
The report insists United want the deal concluded prior to that date, though, as they go about making their return to Europe's elite competition.
Louis van Gaal's side have been among the busiest in the world this summer, concluding major deals for Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian.
Serie A writer Omid Zamani claims Pedro has already made his mind up regarding a Camp Nou exit after becoming disillusioned about his chances of first-team football under Luis Enrique:
Lionel Messi and Neymar offer competition any player would struggle against, but new signings Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal will also be available in January, offering further competition on the flanks.
With his chances considerably brighter at Old Trafford, the Barcelona veteran of 11 years appears prepared to leave his Catalan setting as a new journey opens up in the English top flight.
Manchester United Set £35 Million De Gea Price

Real Madrid are set to be disappointed in their pursuit of Manchester United No. 1 De Gea after it came to light the Red Devils are seeking a fee of £35 million for his services.
The Daily Mail's Rob Draper wrote that Los Merengues will register a £25 million offer for the player this week, providing quotes from manager Van Gaal. The Dutchman hailed De Gea as the club's best player:
"We have to pay a lot of money for all the players we want, and we want the same level when we have to sell. We want to keep him of course but I'm not the most important part, that's the player and the club who want to buy him. He's been our best player for two years or three years so we cannot let him go so easily.
"
De Gea was dropped from the squad for United's 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday as new signing Sergio Romero kept a clean sheet in his Premier League debut for the club.
Spanish newspaper AS chose images of the stopper sitting alongside fellow outcast, former Barcelona No. 1 Victor Valdes, for the front cover of its Sunday edition:
Real have made little effort to disguise their pursuit of De Gea, whose current contract expires in less than a year, making him a particularly susceptible target.
Van Gaal is quoted by the official Premier League Twitter account, saying the speculation was the reason behind his stopper being dropped from the squad. This was said to have put him in a fragile mental state:
Seeing De Gea on the sidelines will only ramp up rumours insisting the Spain goalkeeper could leave Old Trafford this summer, despite Van Gaal's efforts to take hold of the situation.
The manager went on to hint De Gea won't feature for the Red Devils until the transfer deadline passes, per Rob Dawson of the Manchester Evening News:
Romero made four saves against Spurs to inspire confidence he can be a good addition to the Premier League giants, but Real will need to increase their offer substantially if they're to land their target.
However, with De Gea set to become available for free next summer, Real may instead opt to play the long game, saving their funds for now and hoping their target doesn't pen a new deal at Old Trafford.
