'I'm F--ked,' Logan Paul Reveals Exactly How Major Injury Happened in WWE Tag Team Title Match
Logan Paul took to YouTube this week to break down how his tricep injury occurred during a recent WWE World Tag Team Championship defense.
Speaking Wednesday on his Impaulsive podcast (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), Paul explained what happened and suggested that he immediately knew he had suffered a major injury:
"What had happened was, I was on the outside, a nearly 300-pound [Angelo] Dawkins comes flying over the ropes," Paul said. "He lands on me, my arm is flexed and trying to catch him. Too much weight, too much tension, I could feel the tendons snap off the elbow.
"I've been injured so many times, I knew immediately. You can hear, listen closely to when it happens, you can hear me, I'm not selling like a wrestler, that's real pain. I knew in that moment, I'm f--ked."
On the May 23 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event, Paul and Austin Theory put their world tag team titles on the line against The Street Profits.
Late in the match, Dawkins dove over the top rope, and in the process of catching him, Paul got injured.
While Paul and Theory went on to win the match and retain the titles, it was announced during the ensuing episode of Raw that Paul had suffered a torn triceps, which resulted in fellow Vision member Bron Breakker replacing him as Theory's partner and one half of the tag champs.
Paul suggested that the toughest pill to swallow regarding the injury is the fact that it happened so late in the match, saying, "That's one of the most disappointing parts about it, it was the last move I was a part of in the match. It was the last f--king thing, I hit this move right and I'm going home."
While Paul is now slated to be on the shelf for an extended period of time, Breakker and Theory will attempt to continue holding it down for The Vision.
In addition to The Vision holding tag team gold, Breakker will be part of the King of the Ring tournament, as he is scheduled to face Trick Williams, Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest in a first-round matchup.
