247Sports' composite ranks Taylor as the No. 4 quarterback in the 2027 class. He committed to the Cornhuskers over offers from Alabama, Georgia and Auburn, among others. 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins described him as a "precision passer with a good feel for the position that has a chance to emerge as a trusted facilitator on Saturdays and then potentially Sundays."
During Sunday's session, Taylor connected on 16 of his 20 passes and racked up seven touchdowns, tying for the highest on the day.
Other standouts included Virginia Tech four-star commit Peter Bourque, Miami four-star commit Israel Abrams and uncommitted three-star Ryan Rakowski, who all joined Taylor in throwing seven touchdowns.
Still, the day belonged to Taylor, who will help stabilize the quarterback position for Nebraska following the departure of former starter Dylan Raiola, who transferred to Oregon this offseason. Sophomore signal-caller T.J. Lateef is expected to be the team's starter for the 2026 season.
Nebraska will be ready to welcome Taylor into the fold in 2027, and his performance at the Elite 11 competition showed that he could have the chance to be the next quarterback to start as a true freshman.
