PGA Championship Leaderboard 2026, FedEx Points and Prize Money for Top Stars

Joe TanseyMay 17, 2026

Aaron Rai emerged from a crowded leaderboard to win the 2026 PGA Championship.

The 31-year-old Englishman, who never finished inside the top 10 at a major, rolled in four birdies on the back nine to create separation between himself and the rest of the field at Aronimink Golf Club.

Rai's lengthy birdie putt on the 17th hole clinched his first-career major title.

Rai finished in front of a who's who of men's golf on the leaderboard. Jon Rahm found himself in a tie for second, Justin Thomas finished in a tie for fourth alongside Ludvig Aberg. Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Cameron Smith all landed in a tie for seventh.

Rai took home the $3.69 million winners' purse as well as the Wanamaker Trophy.

Rai collected 750 FedEx Cup points with his victory.

The Englishman moved up 84 spots in the FedEx Cup standings to 24th thanks to the triumph at Aronimink.

Prior to his PGA Championship win, Rai had just one top-20 finish on the PGA Tour this season. That came at last week's Myrtle Beach Classic.

The 31-year-old missed the cut at The Players Championship and finished in 48th place at The Masters earlier this season.

Rai became the second Englishman to win the PGA Championship. Jim Barnes, who won the first two PGA Championships in 1916 and 1919, was the other Englishman to win the event.

Matti Schmid and Alex Smalley, who played in Sunday's final group, were two of the biggest gainers behind Rai in the FedEx Cup standings. Each of those two golfers moved up over 20 positions. Justin Thomas and Max Greyserman were the other two players to jump 20 spots in the FedEx Cup standings.

Cameron Young, Scottie Scheffler, Matt Fitzpatrick and Collin Morikawa remained the top four players in the FedEx Cup standings. Ludvig Aberg was the only golfer to move into the top five with his result at Aronimink.
