Jon Jones Addresses Dana White, UFC Contract, Francis Ngannou Dream Fight During Rousey-Carano Card
Jon Jones still wants to fight Francis Ngannou, but he doesn't believe UFC president Dana White will allow it to happen since he still has a contract with the company.
"I've got to focus on trying to get out of my UFC contract," Jones said during Saturday's coverage of the Most Valuable Promotions MMA card that included a fight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano (h/t Damon Martin of MMA Fighting).
"That's going to be the difficult part if this fight is going to happen. I don't think Dana [White] is interested in doing business with Francis. Doing it with MVP would probably be the only way to make it happen. If we can get out my contract, that would be great."

Ngannou Calls Out Jon Jones 👀

Ronda Rousey wins MMA superfight in 17 seconds
Ngannou looked dominant Saturday when he defeated Philipe Lins in the first round.
It was part of a headline event that also included Rousey defeating Carano in 17 seconds via an armbar submission and Mike Perry defeating Nate Diaz via a second-round TKO due to a doctor's stoppage.
As for Ngannou, his attention immediately turned to Jones after his victory.
"As I said before, Jon Jones is a great fighter," Ngannou he said during the Netflix broadcast. "Probably the best that have ever done the MMA. But I think in terms of business, he still has something to learn and he should be watching what I'm doing and learn. And if he get it now, he should be able to figure it out and come make this fight. Because this fight is gonna happen before we retire."
Ngannou also said, "I'm the f--king best, period" when confirming he views himself as the top heavyweight fighter in the world.
Yet Jones' future within the sport is up in the air.
Martin explained he relinquished his UFC heavyweight title belt and retired amid discussions about a possible fight against Tom Aspinall before expressing a desire to return for the UFC card at the White House.
However, "White repeatedly stated that he couldn't trust Jones to actually show up for that card and there was no way he would allow him to compete at that event."
While Ngannou said he believes he will get a chance at Jones at some point, Jones didn't seem so confident.
"I think I am [retired]," he said. "I think I am. I have a really good agent, the Kawa brothers, and these guys keep me busy. I'm constantly on the road, creating my own businesses and endorsing other businesses.
"So I feel like if things weren't going so well, I'd feel the pressure to get back in the cage but things are going so well on a professional level, that I really have no reason to fight anymore."
