Nate Diaz 'Felt Like S--t,' Reacts to Bloodied Loss vs. Perry on Rousey-Carano Card in New Video
Nate Diaz looked to be in plenty of pain when he was left bloodied during a loss to Mike Perry in Saturday's Most Valuable Promotions MMA card that also featured Ronda Rousey's victory over Gina Carano.
And he confirmed as much during his post-match press conference.
"I didn't actually feel good at all," he told reporters (55-second mark). "I felt like s--t."
It was Diaz's first MMA fight since September 2022 in a night that was defined by comebacks to the sport.
Rousey's 17-second win over Carano via armbar submission was the headliner. After all, it was the UFC Hall of Famer's first professional fight since back-to-back losses in 2015 and 2016, and she left little doubt about her dominance with the performance.
Saturday was also Francis Ngannou's return to the sport after nearly two years away, and he defeated Philipe Lins in the first round as well.
Diaz made it out of the first round in his first MMA fight in more than three years, but Perry prevailed in his first bout since April 2021. Perry won via a second-round TKO due to a doctor's stoppage when he left Diaz bloodied by opening up a cut on his opponent's head.
While Perry's immediate pressure seemed to be a problem for Diaz, the latter fought back in the opening round:
Yet it was clear by the time Perry opened the cut who was going to win the fight.
Diaz also made it clear how he felt in the aftermath.
