Donte DiVincenzo Injury Update, Latest Rumors on Wolves SG's Status and Timeline to Return

Julia StumbaughApr 25, 2026

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo will miss the remainder of the NBA Playoffs after suffering a torn right Achilles tendon in Saturday night's Game 4 win against the Denver Nuggets, per ESPN's Shams Charania.

"I feel, completely devastated for Donte," Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch told reporters after the game. "He was playing so well. He's had such a great season. He's the heart soul of so many things that we do. You can just see the look in his eye when it happened."

DiVincenzo was seen leaving the arena in a wheelchair with a brace around his leg after being ruled out:

DiVincenzo fell to the court in visible pain after pivoting to follow an offensive rebound with 10:41 left in the first quarter.

The Timberwolves lead the first-round series 2-1 and held a 5-0 Game 4 lead at the time of DiVincenzo's injury.

DiVincenzo contributed at least 15 points and six assists to the Timberwolves' victories in Game 2 and Game 3.

He averaged 14.3 points, five assists, five rebounds and 2.3 steals while shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep through the first three postseason games.

DiVincenzo is coming off the first 82-game regular season of his career, during which he started every game for the Timberwolves while averaging 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

His absence will be a major blow for a Timberwolves team that leaned heavily on him while taking their series lead.

Ayo Dosunmu subbed in after DiVincenzo exited the game. Dosunmu contributed 25 points off the bench in Game 3 and could now once more be tasked with taking on a larger offensive role.

Mike Conley could also see more playing time in the backcourt as the Wolves look to fill in for DiVincenzo.

The Nuggets meanwhile got an injured player back in Aaron Gordon, who ESPN's Shams Charania reports is playing through the calf injury that sidelined him for Game 3.

Nikola Jokić and the Nuggets will hope Gordon's return will help them even the series against the shorthanded Timberwolves before the series swings back to Denver for Monday night's Game 5.
