Edwards appeared to suffer the injury during an awkward landing while contesting a layup in the second quarter of the game.
He required assistance as he entered Minnesota's locker room.
The injury occurred to the left knee of Edwards, who has previously missed time this season due to right knee inflammation.
Edwards recorded five points and three rebounds in 18 minutes prior to leaving the contest.
The Nuggets held a 44-39 lead over the Timberwolves at the time of his departure.
Minnesota was hit hard by injuries on Saturday, as sharpshooter Donte DiVincenzo suffered a non-contact right leg injury in the first quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
As for Edwards, his absence would be a tough blow to the Timberwolves if he's forced to miss time.
He earned his fourth consecutive All-Star nod during the 2025-26 season, as his scoring average of 28.8 points per game ranked No. 3 in the NBA. Edwards also recorded 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists to go along with 1.4 steals per game on 48.9/39.9/79.6 shooting splits.
The 24-year-old helped the Timberwolves take a 2-1 series lead over the Nuggets heading into Saturday's action, averaging 23.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game through three matchups with Denver.
Ayo Dosunmu and Mike Conley started in place of Edwards and DiVincenzo in the second half of Game 4, as both players should continue to operate in larger roles with Minnesota's starting backcourt sidelined.
