Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 42 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 121-109 win and a 3-0 series lead over Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns in their first-round NBA Playoff matchup on Saturday.

The road victory marked Gilgeous-Alexander's second straight 35-plus point outing after a 37-point performance in Oklahoma City's 120-107 win last Wednesday at home.

The top-seeded Thunder are now on the verge of a series sweep over the No. 8 Suns.

Gilgeous-Alexander added four rebounds and eight assists to his 42-point performance on an efficient 83 percent shooting, powering the Thunder to a commanding series advantage in Saturday's win.

Alex Caruso provided a spark off the bench with 13 points and five rebounds, while the rest of the starters were relatively quiet. Chet Holmgren added 10 points and seven rebounds, and Ajay Mitchell chipped in 15 points.

The Thunder have kept Booker below his season average of 26.1 points throughout the series, limiting him to just 16 points on 38 percent shooting in Saturday's game.

Dillon Brooks led all scorers with 33 points, while Jalen Green added 26.

If the Thunder complete the sweep of the Suns, it would mark their third consecutive first-round sweep after doing the same to the No. 8 Memphis Grizzlies last postseason and the No. 8 New Orleans Pelicans in 2023.

Oklahoma City went on to capture the 2025 NBA title, defeating the Indiana Pacers in seven games.

The winner of the Phoenix Suns-Oklahoma City Thunder series will move on to the Western Conference semifinals to face the winner of the Los Angeles Lakers-Houston Rockets matchup, with Los Angeles holding a 3-0 series lead.

Oklahoma City and Phoenix are set to meet again Monday in Phoenix.
