Booking WWE's Top Feuds of 2026 After WrestleMania 42 Results
One of the most exciting parts of being a fan in the wake of WWE WrestleMania is looking ahead at the potential rivalries, matches, and programs that will define the company's creative plans in the wake of the Showcase of the Immortals.
Coming out of this year's show, there are three clear matches that the company can book in the coming weeks and months, with at least two of them culminating later this summer at SummerSlam in Minneapolis.
What are they and why?
Find out in this early booking of WWE following WrestleMania 42.

Oba Femi vs. Roman Reigns
2 of 4
The Ruler dominated Brock Lesnar, defeating and retiring The Beast on the grand stage.
The OTC regained championship gold and now stands at the helm of the Raw brand.
The two most buzz-worthy stars of Sunday's WrestleMania broadcast are on a collision course, and they have both already addressed each other, planting the seeds for the inevitable showdown.
More wins, continued dominance should await The Ruler over the next few months as he builds to a potential date with destiny this summer. Positioning him as a world championship contender is the right call, as is booking Reigns to retain his gold ahead of it.
Reigns must compete in at least one title defense before SummerSlam, where he would retain the gold to set up the marquee match-up with Femi in Minnesota. There, the titans would clash, and if there are no long-term creative plans for Reigns on the table, Femi would win.
Strike while the iron is hot, and the Ruler may never be hotter than he is right now after humbling Lesnar in the opening contest of WrestleMania.
Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker
3 of 4
Bron Breakker cost Seth Rollins his WrestleMania match-up against Gunther, announcing his return to action with two hellacious spears, each leaving The Visionary writhing.
This is one feud where there is enough backstory and explanation for existing that WWE could easily book it for Backlash on Saturday, May 9, from Tampa.
What should not happen right away is for Breakker to defeat Rollins. After all, the entire point of The Badass being part of The Vision is that he was not yet ready to be the guy on his own.
Rollins beating him and getting his victory lap, in which he can taunt Breakker by reminding him that there is a reason he was chosen to be the guy, just not yet, is a great launching point for Breakker finally getting his win over his former mentor, perhaps as late as SummerSlam.
Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton
4 of 4
The main event of WrestleMania Saturday was a mangled mess, a match that was confusing in its build, flawed spectacularly in its execution, and left fans more irritated by its conclusion than excited to see it play out.
With that said, there is plenty of time to fix it, based on the events of the aforementioned main event.
Orton admitted to wanting Pat McAfee to bring the old version of himself out, the sadistic and ruthless version. The ESPN personality did, and paid for it with an RKO. Orton no longer needs him as he is back to the competitor he needs to be to capture the gold and enjoy a 15th title reign.
Stephanie McMahon warned Rhodes in the weeks leading up to the match that he would need to dig down and find a meaner, nastier side of himself, and he did, resorting to low blows, eye rakes, and other cheating to eventually defeat The Viper.
A double turn could be coming, and the seeds are certainly there to be watered and bloom, just in time for a high-profile rematch at Backlash, with the potential blow-off contest happening as late as SummerSlam.
