The Judgment Day Explodes
3 of 4
Since its inception in 2022, The Judgment Day has been a staple of WWE programming, with Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio as its two most consistent and prominent members.
They dominated Monday nights, winning tag team gold together and assisting each other to monumental victories. Other members came and went, but Balor and Mysterio were constants, forming the foundation of the faction.
Until a schism emerged and the two split, with Mysterio seizing control of the Judgment Day by beating down his mentor and leaving him in a heap.
In doing so, though, he awakened a side of the inaugural Universal champion that had not been seen since its ill-fated return in 2023: The Demon.
The dangerous, dominant alter ego of Balor, it has led to some of his most decisive and important victories ever. It is a side of the Irishman that Mysterio wants nothing to do with but will now have to confront on the grandest stage in professional wrestling, and prove whether he truly is ready to lead the Judgment Day or if he made the biggest mistake of his young career.
Jade Cargill's Moment
4 of 4
When Jade Cargill enters Allegiant Stadium Sunday for her WWE Women's Championship defense against Rhea Ripley, she does so as a Superstar facing as much scrutiny as any other on the WrestleMania card, if not more.
Cargill arrived in WWE in 2024 and has proven since thenn that her aura is unmatched. She has the look and athletic background to be a massive star for the company.
Her victory over Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship on the November 1, 2025, edition of Saturday Night's Main Event propelled her to another level, but it also opened her up to criticism from fans, who do not believe her in-ring work has caught up to the rest of her presentation.
To an extent, they have a point. Cargill has appeared nervous at times, resulting in mistimed spots. How much of that is the performer herself, and how much is a result of inconsistent ring time, is the question, but regardless, her biggest critics have questioned whether she can be the level of in-ring worker she needs to be to hang with what is arguably the greatest women's division in wrestling.
She has her chance to silence her doubters Sunday night in Las Vegas when she battles Ripley, arguably the biggest star on that women's roster and someone who has rapidly established herself as a standard-bearer on the grandest stage the industry has to offer.
A great performance on that stage, against that opponent, will prove that she is worthy of the attention and trust management has put into her and propel her forward as one of the faces of the division's future, rather than the question mark some have seen her as to this point.
