WWE NXT Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights From April 14
It is WrestleMania week, and WWE NXT is delivering two weeks of action with NXT Revenge, beginning with the April 14 show at the Performance Center.
Tony D'Angelo put his newly won NXT Championship on the line against "All Ego" Ethan Page, while Lola Vice defended the NXT Women's Championship against Jacy Jayne.
Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan collided once again, while Joe Hendry responded to his NXT Championship loss with a special concert.
Could this be the end of the road for multiple NXT stars ahead of WrestleMania 42? Would any titles change hands less than two weeks after Stand & Deliver?
Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan
1 of 8Last Time in Action: Jaida Parker defeated Kelani Jordan (NXT, March 31).
Jordan and Jaida quickly locked up as the crowd sang for Miss Parker. It was an even fight until Jordan created an opening with a vicious focus on the left thigh.
This left Jaida hobbled, struggling to hit her best offense without pain. Miss Parker hit the Tear Drop but could not capitalize before Jordan rolled outside.
Jordan returned to the ring with a Springboard Cutter for a near-fall. Jaida caught her diving and hit a Falcon Arrow for her own near-fall.
Miss Parker went for a corner Hipnotic, but Jordan ducked, sending her into an exposed turnbuckle followed by a One of a Kind Moonsault to win.
This was quickly and obviously better than the first match between these two. In particular, they got much more time to sell their story and wrestle a complete match.
Jordan is still struggling to play the heel with her style, but she found more openings to build heat in the rematch, focusing on wearing down the leg.
This gave Jaida a chance to sell throughout and build more sympathy with the crowd already behind her from the start.
While they never quite reached their peak pace, it was nice to see both come out of this looking good rather than someone left embarrassed.
Jaida and Jordan are two women that should be considered for a call-up in the post-WrestleMania 42 cycle.
Neither are complete packages, but it does not feel like they have much more to learn from NXT. They could use a fresh challenge to push them to the next level.
Result
Jordan def. Parker by pinfall.

Keanu Carver Ruins Joe Hendry's Concert
2 of 8
Joe Hendry promised that he was not done chasing the NXT Championship, focusing his song on Tony D'Angelo and that title.
Keanu Carver arrived before Hendry could get to the chorus. When Carver did not back down, Hendry bashed his guitar on Carver's back.
The big man was barely affected by the shot, bloodying the former NXT champion and sending him and security through the barricade at ringside.
Hendry delivered a solid verse before Carver arrived, seemingly teasing he is not done in NXT just yet. However, the post-concert destruction indicates a different story is on the horizon.
NXT has put so much behind Carver early, who is a talented big man. This was his biggest spotlight yet, destroying Hendry and his concert.
If he defeats Hendry in a follow-up match, that would instantly make him a top NXT Championship contender.
This could be an easy answer for transitioning Hendry to the main roster. He puts over Carver to make NXT's next big monster then transitions smoothly to SmackDown or Raw with nothing seriously lost.

Kali Armstrong vs. Skylar Raye
3 of 8Last Time in Action: Skylar Raye alongside Shiloh Hill defeated Arianna Grace and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo (NXT, December 17). This was Kali Armstrong's NXT debut.
Kali Armstrong arrived with confidence and delivered strong offense from the outset, nearly picking up the win after a Spinebuster.
Skylar Raye stayed in the action, almost picking up a surprise win after a Satellite DDT. Armstrong caught her diving and rocked her with a right hand.
The former Evolve women's champion sealed the win with the Kali Connection.
This was a solid if unspectacular debut for Armstrong, who could have been more dominant.
Raye did not get her own entrance for this match but still worked relatively even with Armstrong throughout.
The full NXT integration will not be complete until she works with bigger names. Jaida Parker or Kelani Jordan would both make sense as big tests.
Result
Armstrong def. Raye by pinfall.

NXT Championship: Tony D'Angelo (c) vs. "All Ego" Ethan Page
4 of 8
Last Time in Action: "All Ego" Ethan Page and Tony D'Angelo alongside Joe Hendry and Ricky Saints defeated DarkState (NXT, April 7).
D'Angelo beat down Page early in this contest until Saints arrived, only to get dragged away by Shiloh Hill via extended rope.
The NXT champion avoided multiple attempts at the Ego's Edge and hit the Forget-About-It for a near-fall.
Page fought back with a thumb to the eye and hit a Splash for a near-fall. All Ego introduced the NXT Championship to the match where Page dropped D'Angelo onto it for an Ego's Edge near-fall.
The two fought to the announce table where D'Angelo sent Page onto the barricade followed by a Spear into the table. He finished the job with the Spinebuster to win.
This was a fantastic title match, highlighting D'Angelo's explosiveness throughout. While Page had some crafty answers to stay in the fight, he was ultimately outmatched by the champ.
It may have been best to spread out the NXT Championship and NXT Women's Championship matches over the two nights because this set a tough standard for Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne to follow.
With this win and Saints and Hendry moving to new rivals, D'Angelo may have to wait a bit to see who will be the next man up to contest him.
Wins over Saints and Hendry would further solidify his reign while Keanu Carver feels like the biggest threat to him.
Result
D'Angelo def. Page by pinfall to retain the NXT Championship.

Myles Borne Offers Dion Lennox a North American Championship Match Next Week
5 of 8
Myles Borne called out Dion Lennox, who arrived with DarkState. The North American champion offered a title shot to Lennox, but he warned that he might not happen if DarkState attacked him.
Saquon Shugars took offense to Lennox implying Lennox was DarkState's "leader" and tried to attack Borne, who fought him off.
Lennox and Shugars had to be separated by Osiris Griffin and Cutler James afterward.
This was a solid segment, primarily carried by Borne. His confidence and focus on the mic is infectious. It is easy to root for him as North American champion.
He and Lennox should have a good match next week, but the stage was clearly set for Shugars to cost Lennox the match in some way.
Internal conflict within DarkState is a good move for a group that is not working as well as they once did.
Shugars especially needs a stronger spotlight and could benefit from breaking away from the rest.

Men's Speed Championship Tournament: EK Prosper vs. Dorian Van Dux
6 of 8
Last Time in Action: EK Prosper alongside Shiloh Hill, Hank and Tank and Wren Sinclair defeated BirthRight (NXT: Countdown to Stand & Deliver, April 4). This was the NXT debut of Dorian Van Dux.
Dux started this match confident and flew around at the same pace at Prosper, but he found himself shocked by his opponent's resilience.
Dux went for Shooting Star Press and missed. Prosper responded with a Moonsault for the victory.
Lexis King and BirthRight arrived to taunt Prosper afterward as they prepare for next week.
This was about as good as a Speed match can get. Both men were flying from the start. Dux especially stood out with his wild high-flying despite his larger size.
Prosper was always the right man to win here as he has been NXT's bigger project so far, though Dux made a compelling case that he has higher upside.
Either man could win next week, but King and BirthRight need a victory at this stage to come off as a serious threat in NXT.
Result
Prosper def. Dux by pinfall to advance to the Men's Speed Championship final.

NXT Women's Championship: Lola Vice (c) vs. Jacy Jayne
7 of 8Last Time in Action: Lola Vice defeated Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey (NXT: Stand & Deliver, April 4).
Jayne started slow, hesitant to match strikes or grapples with Vice, until Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid distracted the NXT women's champion, allowing the former champ to lay her out on the floor.
The challenger tried to wear down the champion until Vice's striking prowess began to overwhelm the Jayne.
Another distraction set up a Bicycle Knee Smash from Jayne for the first true near-fall of the match.
Henley saved Jayne from a Triangle with a Tiger Feint Kick and set up The Rolling Encore for another near-fall.
Reid caught Vice with a Slap to set up another Rolling Encore, but Vice ducked the shot and hit the Back Elbow for the victory.
Kali Armstrong arrived afterward by tackling her way through Fatal Influence. Grey appeared on the other side of the apron to stare down Vice. Izzi Dame watched from the stage.
Zaria tried to make her own statement by arriving with music, but Sol Ruca attacked her, starting a brawl to the back, while Vice stared down three new challengers.
It is a genuine shame that NXT did not give Jayne and Vice more time, starting with 12 minutes left in the show, and still going to Picture-in-Picture early in this contest.
While they do not have strong chemistry, they both fought hard to make the most of this spotlight. The crowd was more invested in this than anything else on the night.
Jayne put over Vice as much as she could, selling the danger of exchanging strikes with the champion. Even with Fatal Influence support, she was barely finding openings.
By the end, it was clear that Jayne was delivering a final refrain for her championship dreams, and this might just be the last time she appears in NXT.
Fatal Influence as a whole would make sense to head to Raw or SmackDown next week, though WWE has also shown a tendency to break up groups like this in call-ups.
What is most obvious right now is that Vice is the champion for the long haul, ready for a variety of fresh challengers.
Result
Vice def. Jayne by pinfall to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

Overall Show
8 of 8The pacing of NXT Revenge let down a strong card delivering quality matches from a variety of fresh and familiar stars.
Especially if this was a send-off match for Jacy Jayne, Lola Vice vs. Jayne deserved at least five more minutes of spotlight.
Too many backstage segments hampered a show that should have focused on the matches and promos in the ring more.
Still, there is no denying the work of the talent, especially the fantastic Tony D'Angelo vs. "All Ego" Ethan Page match that may serve as the end of All Ego in NXT.
Joe Hendry has set the stage for his own send-off, putting over the dangerous threat of Keanu Carver in NXT.
Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan upped their game together and set the stage for a plunder rubber match that can allow them both to highlight their talent fully.
As a whole, NXT Revenge delivered in its first night, but the second night should focus even more on what the talent do in the ring with a strong line-up.
