Julia StumbaughMar 21, 2026

Lindsey Vonn is back to doing pull-ups less than two months after suffering a severe leg injury while racing at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.

Vonn posted a video on Saturday of her working out with her leg in a cast and a pair of crutches at her side.

"Making progress slowly!" Vonn captioned the post.

Vonn had to be airlifted off the course after her crash during the women's Alpine skiing downhill.

She has since undergone multiple surgeries in both Italy and the United States to treat injuries including a broken right ankle and a complex tibia fracture in her left leg.

Her injuries resulted in compartment syndrome that Vonn said could have necessitated amputation without surgery.

The three-time Olympic medalist has been documenting her recovery on social media as she progressed from being bed-bound to venturing outside on an electric scooter.

Vonn, 41, had previously retired in 2019 due to injuries including multiple severe knee issues.

She came out of retirement last year and successfully qualified for the U.S. Olympic team, then suffered a torn left ACL on a training run shortly before competing in Milan.
