AEW Dynamite Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights Before Revolution 2026

Kevin BergeMar 11, 2026

From the San Jose Civic Center in San Jose, California, the March 11 edition of Dynamite was the final live show for All Elite Wrestling before Revolution.

Hangman Adam Page and MJF would meet in a Press Conference ahead of their world title match.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey looked to avenge his World Trios Championship loss by taking the TNT Championship from Kyle Fletcher. Persephone returned to AEW to fight Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship.

The Death Riders vs. Don Callis Family, Young Bucks vs. FTR and Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy vs. The Dogs continued to highlight Dynamite's biggest stories into Revolution.

Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli vs. Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero

1 of 8

Last Time in Action: Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli alongside Pac defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander and Mark Davis (Dynamite, February 11); Takeshita and Hechicero alongside Kazuchika Okada lost to The Elite (Dynamite, December 17).

These teams tested each other early in this contest, fighting with confidence.

The Swiss Superman thought he had turned around the momentum on The Alchemist with a running European Uppercut, but Hechicero turned it around into a rolling leg scissors crucifix pin for a near-fall.

Castagnoli fired back with a Giant Swing but could not get more than a couple rotations due to the physical offensive toll on The Swiss Superman.

Finally, Castagnoli caught The Alchemist with an eye poke and Small Package to steal the win.

Afterward, The Don Callis Family arrived to lay out The Death Riders, but The Alpha refused to weaken Mox, making clear he was going to beat the Continental champion fair at Revolution.

This was a solid match that mostly boiled down to The Swiss Superman vs. The Alchemist down the stretch.

Both men are talented enough to make that work, but Mox and Takeshita were more set dressing in this contest, staying healthy for Revolution.

The crowd reacted best to those two men, and the post-match story sold that they are readying themselves for a long, dramatic show-stealer.

The Death Riders vs. Don Callis Family continue to find fresh pairings, but this story needs a more concrete hook. At this stage, it still is just two big, mean stables trying to assert dominance, a dynamic that will grow stale.

Result

Castagnoli and Mox def. Hechicero and Takeshita by pinfall.

Grade

B

Notable Moments and Observations

  • The Alpha was sporting a black eye from his Collision match against Castagnoli.
  • The crowd popped big when both Mox and Takeshita tagged in.
  • Marina Shafir repeatedly mocked Takeshita and Hechicero during the match.
  • After the result, Archer laid out Shafir on his way to Mox.
  • TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey

    2 of 8

Last Time in Action: Kyle Fletcher alongside Kazuchika Okada and Mark Davis defeated "Speedball" Mike Bailey, "The Jet" Kevin Knight and

Much like in the Continental Classic, Speedball has Fletcher's number past the first 10 minutes of this TNT Championship clash.

The Protostar almost knocked out Bailey by tossing him head-first into the top turnbuckle, but Speedball did not stay down, catching Fletcher with the standing Moonsault double-knee drop and roundhouse for a near-fall.

Another Moonsault double-knee drop on the floor set the stage for a top-rope Poisonrana and the Time Adventure for a close near-fall.

The Protostar stopped a second Time Adventure with a then barely ducked an Ultimate Weapon to stay in the fight.

Kazuchika Okada distracted the referee while Mark Davis gave him one of the World Trios Championships to blast Bailey and follow up with a Brainbuster to take the win.

Unsurprisingly, Bailey and Fletcher stole the show again. Their chemistry is obvious, and this should not be the last time they collide one-on-one.

They not only played to each other's strengths but found ways to smartly call back to their first match while selling the potential upset.

The final result may show that The Protostar retained, but this was all about selling Bailey as a top singles threat.

The match moved at such a frantic pace that neither had time to really let the impact of the action land, but the action was too good to complain too much.

The intentional choice to have this match followed Konosuke Takeshita refusing help shows how much the former friends are diverging in philosophy.

It would be shocking to see Fletcher and Takeshita on the same side even into Double or Nothing.

    Result

Fletcher def. Bailey by pinfall to retain the TNT Championship.

    Grade

    A-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • MJF found Fletcher backstage before his match and asked him to hurt Speedball "for him". The Protostar promised to do it for himself.
  • Callis was coy about any possible business arrangement between himself and The Salt of the Earth.
  • On commentary, Callis reveled in the violence of his client and actively hated on Bailey, especially for his lack of shoes.
  • The wild action in this one had the crowd loud and appreciative of both competitors down the stretch.
  • Afterward, backstage, Speedball promised revenge was coming in the form of a World Trios Championship win at Revolution.
  • Brody King vs. Local Competitor

    3 of 8
    Brody King AEW
Brody King picked up another quick win early in 2026.

Last Time in Action: Brody King defeated Mark Davis (Dynamite, February 25).

The Hound of Hell defeated a local competitor in seconds, courtesy of a Gonzo Bomb.

King promised to find The Most Dangerous Man, only to be attacked from the crowd by a disguised Swerve. This time, The Hound of Hell broke the chain of Swerve and choked him out over the ropes.

Prince Nana had to help Swerve escape King, clearly rattled by the power of his Revolution opponent.

The squash match was a stat-padding contest while the aftermath was what mattered most.

This was a vital spot for King to look scary, selling that Swerve cannot take him lightly.

It is a surprise after all the chain use in the build-up, King vs. Swerve will be a normal singles match. That likely won't stop them from getting hardcore before it is over.

    Result

King def. local competitor by pinfall.

    Grade

    C+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Before heading out, King said he could not find Swerve anywhere and was going into his match in street clothes because he was not ready for his latest standby match.
  • Swerve was in disguise in a black hoodie with a black ski mask. While it was a King ski mask, the parallel to Seth Rollins' current WWE angle was obvious, and this could have been an intentional gag.

Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy vs. Gabe Kidd and David Finlay

    4 of 8
The Dogs AEW David Finlay Gabe Kidd Clark Connors
David Finlay and Gabe Kidd picked up their second week in a week as The Dogs of AEW.

Last Time in Action: Gabe Kidd, David Finlay and Clark Connors defeated Cosmo Orion, GMO Kaminari & Jaden Monroe (Collision, March 7); Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy defeated Kidd and Connors (Dynamite, March 4).

The resiliency of Allin and Cassidy continued to baffle The Dogs, who could not keep them down.

Finlay could not break Kidd free from The Daredevil's Scorpion Deathlock until gouging the eyes of Allin, setting up a Headbutt from War Ready to near take the win.

Freshly Squeezed broke it up and helped clear the ring. Allin took out Kidd with a Missile Dropkick to the floor. Cassidy prepared for an Orange Punch on the outside.

Clark Connors stopped it with a tire iron to the head from the crowd. This left Allin to take a Finlay Dominator and Kidd Piledriver for the loss.

Afterward, The Dogs continued to lay out their competition until Roderick Strong made his surprise return. He teased working with The Dogs before helping clear them from the ring.

This was only a good match but did have an exciting post-match surprise. Strong's appearance and support of Cassidy got a massive and deserved pop.

Everyone involved did their job well, but it felt like four individuals fighting rather than two teams.

Finlay's arrival has massively turned the tide for The Dogs, leading to a much-needed victory. It would be nice to see him more in singles action though soon.

This was all about the moment as battle lines continue to be redrawn in this rivalry.

    Result

Kidd and Finlay def. Allin and Cassidy by pinfall.

    Grade

    B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Finlay came out to Kidd's music, still in need of his own theme. The Dogs could also use a unique team theme.
  • Strong gave Cassidy a painfully hard high-five in celebration.
  • TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Persephone

    5 of 8
    Persephone All Elite Wrestling
This was Persephone's first match since she was officially declared "All Elite".

Last Time in Action: Persephone defeated Mercedes Moné to become the new CMLL world women's champion (CMLL La Noche De La Amazonas, March 6); Willow Nightingale alongside Harley Cameron defeated MegaBad by disqualification (Dynamite, February 25).

Willow's size was no deterrent to the power of the CMLL women's world champion early in this contest, who threw around the TBS champion with relative ease.

The Babe turned the tide with her explosive offense, nearly taking the win with a Cannonball, but Persephone got her legs locked in the ropes.

Persphone got closest to the win after a Springboard Moonsault but only got two on the pin.

When Persephone got Willow up for the Crucifix Powerbomb, she was not ready for The Babe to shift her weight, escaping into a Backslide for the win.

Few women have impressed more in recent appearances in AEW than Persephone, and this was no different.

These two clicked quickly and delivered a great title match without strong build. Their speed vs. strength dynamic sold the challenger as a real threat to the champion.

AEW should use Persephone more in the coming year. It would be good to see her winning on air, defending the CMLL World Women's Championship.

The aftermath was more low key than expected, setting up Willow for two title matches on Revolution.

This is a fantastic showcase for Willow's strong 2026. She will be tested in multiple matches over one night, solidifying the danger of a double-championship run.

She is unlikely to escape Revolution with all the gold, most likely losing the World Women's Championships to Lena Kross and Megan Bayne.

Still, both matches will be good, and Kross will also be showcased in a big way in double championship action herself.

    Result

Willow def. Persephone by pinfall to retain the TBS Championship.

    Grade

    A

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • The champions met backstage with Renee Paquette to celebrate each other's successes before both promised victory on Dynamite.
  • Ian Riccaboni is always a welcome addition to commentary, but his rap for Willow's theme remains one of his best consistent bits.
  • Backstage, Harley Cameron celebrated with Willow. The Babe challenged Kross to fight her for the TBS Championship on Revolution: Zero Hour then put the Women's World Tag Team Championships on the line against Kross and Bayne on the PPV.
  • FTR and Tommaso Ciampa vs. The Young Bucks and Mark Briscoe

    6 of 8

Last Time in Action: This was the first time Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood and Tommaso Ciampa as well as Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Mark Briscoe have teamed up as trios in AEW.

While both teams fought hard, FTR and Ciampa had more cohesion throughout this match.

In particular, they took out The Young Bucks and isolated Chicken, weakening Briscoe with a wild Spike Piledriver through the announce table.

Briscoe tried to avoid the running knee of Ciampa afterward, but Cash helped distract Chicken for the knee and the win.

After the bell, Ciampa kept viciously attacking Briscoe, who he sent through a pair of chairs with a top-rope Air Raid Crash.

This felt rushed despite its main event spotlight, but everyone involved was not afraid of a sprint.

Ciampa and Briscoe took center stage in this contest. Similar to the opener, the two teams fighting at Revolution fought only in teases, not wanting to give away what they plan to deliver on PPV.

    Result

Ciampa, Cash and Dax def. Briscoe, Matt and Nick by pinfall.

    Grade

    B

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Before the match, AEW aired a vignette for this contest, particularly highlighting the Collision heel turn of Ciampa against Briscoe.
  • Ciampa nearly took a disqualification by trying to blast Briscoe with a steel chair, but Chicken ducked it then used the chair for his signature dive onto everyone outside the ring.
  • Hangman Adam Page and MJF's Press Conference Becomes a Texas Death Preview

    7 of 8
    MJF Hangman Adam Page AEW
Hangman Adam Page and MJF exchanged final words and fists before Revolution.

Hosted by Bryan Danielson, MJF and Hangman Adam Page took questions from the press. They were asked about their mindsets, and both men played coy about their true feelings.

The Salt of the Earth offered The Cowboy a drink, which set off Hangman. The two brawled out of the conference.

They made it to the ring where Hangman caught MJF with a Dead Eye and threatened to send The Salt of the Earth onto barbed wire.

MJF escaped and ran into the crowd, promising he was still going to win come Revolution.

This was a decent finish to the night, though it felt a bit basic for how personal this rivalry has become.

It may have helped to get these two men in tag team action against one another, but AEW likely does not want to risk any kind of freak injury ahead of the Revolution main event.

The press conference format works for a YouTube post-show but not for a live Dynamite. This was likely a failed experiment before the brawl.

At this stage, all signs point to MJF retaining, but it is difficult to see how The Salt of the Earth could possibly defeat The Cowboy in Texas Death.

He will likely need help, which could be the first step in selling why Hangman deserves an eventual return match for the AEW Men's World Championship down the line.

    Grade

    D+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Various real media members were questioned during the press conference. While this helped the realism of the segment, it led to fairly flat questions to spark heat between the rivals.
  • A generally receptive crowd throughout the night chanted "boring" as they were stuck watching a press conference on a titantron.
  • Hangman's returning alcoholism has stayed a relatively quiet character quirk for The Cowboy until now. This could be hinting that Hangman will grow all the more erratic when he loses to MJF.
  • Overall Show

    8 of 8

All Elite Wrestling has delivered great Dynamites fairly consistently as of late, but the go-home shows often feel lacking.

This is especially true because of the big stories AEW left for Collision, but this show also announced a few late extra Revolution matches last minute that could have used more spotlight.

This was a fairly rushed episode as a whole, primarily relying on the action in the ring.

Willow Nightingale vs. Persephone and Kyle Fletcher vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey both delivered action that would have been worthy of Revolution.

The rest of the night delivered strong consistent in-ring action but relied too heavily on talent AEW needs to protect for Revolution.

As a whole, Dynamite was an easy watch that quickly flew by, but it was not the make-or-break go-home show that will sell any uncertain fans on buying Revolution.
