The 19-year-old hadn't played since Feb. 10 after suffering the injury during a 75-66 loss to Miami. Wilson has missed North Carolina's past six games, although the team still owns a 5-1 record over that stretch.
Wilson's absence will be major blow to the Tar Heels, especially with the ACC tournament and March Madness drawing closer.
In 24 games prior to the injury, he averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 57.8 percent from the field. Wilson also made his presence felt defensively, recording 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks on a nightly basis.
North Carolina owns a 24-6 record, including a 12-5 mark in the ACC. The Tar Heels are the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and will play the No. 5 seed in the quarterfinal round on March 12.
Davis' team is scheduled to face the Blue Devils in a rivalry clash first, though.
Tip-off between North Carolina and Duke on Saturday is at 6:30 p.m. ET.
