10 Wrestlers WWE and AEW Are Fumbling Right Now
WWE and AEW are the two top wrestling promotions in North America, but that doesn't mean everyone who works there is being used properly.
Both companies have such deep rosters that some wrestlers are inevitably going to spend stretches on the sidelines, but a few standouts in each promotion just can't seem to get any momentum going.
However, both companies can easily remedy these issues with a few changes in booking, and in most cases, simply using them once in a while would solve the issue.
Let's take a look at 10 names WWE and All Elite Wrestling need to start booking better.
Penta and Rey Fenix
1 of 5
Penta debuted in WWE before Rey Fenix due to how their contracts expired at different dates in AEW, but now that both men are there and have firmly established themselves as individuals, it makes no sense for WWE to keep them apart.
One of the weakest parts of WWE right now is its tag team division. Last year, SmackDown's division was one of its biggest highlights, but it feels like a shell of its former self now.
Fenix and Penta can inject some star power and energy into the tag team scene, which both WWE and The Lucha Bros could use right now.
These two gifted high-flyers have not been used to their full potential in WWE, and it's not even close. Something needs to change.
Max Caster and Anthony Bowens

AEW had a good thing going with The Acclaimed, but it felt like the right time to break them up at the beginning of last year.
Neither man has attained the same level of success since then, but a lot of the fault for that goes to the company, not Anthony Bowens and Max Caster.
Caster's gimmick of losing in under five minutes to just about everyone who answered his open challenge actually worked to get him over as a solo act, but all of that seems to be gone now.
AEW tried to put them back together late last year as an "odd couple" team who don't get along, but they haven't had a tag match since November, and neither has been on TV in several weeks.
These are two guys who each bring something different to the table and have the capability to be successful, but that can only happen if they are given time in front of the fans to prove it.
The Street Profits

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are one of the most exciting tag teams to watch in WWE, but for one reason or another, they have not been used on TV since October.
They are still healthy and working live events as recently as January 31, so there was no injury keeping them from being booked. It's just WWE dropping the ball.
There's simply no excuse to keep two guys as talented as them on the bench. Even if WWE wants to cycle teams in and out of pushes, they should have popped up somewhere by now.
Management couldn't even bother to include Ford in the Royal Rumble for a high-flying spot, but it had time for two El Grande Americanos. It feels like a bad joke with no punchline.
Nyla Rose and Britt Baker
4 of 5You would be forgiven for not realizing Nyla Rose and Britt Baker were both still with AEW because it's been well over a year since either woman wrestled on TV.
Rose's last televised match happened all the way back on November 20, 2024 on an episode of Rampage, a show that no longer exists.
It's been even longer for Baker, whose most recent match took place a week earlier on the November 13, 2024 episode of Dynamite.
The pair helped lay the groundwork for the women's division in AEW as two of its first four women's world champions. Now it feels like the company has all but forgotten they exist.
With AEW having a women's tag team division now, it needs top female talent more than ever. Baker and Rose can bring that to the title scene.
The War Raiders

Once again, the WWE tag team division finds itself with a team that should be doing a lot more but usually ends up sitting on the bench.
Erik and Ivar are one of the most unique duos in the company. They have size, athleticism and reputations for being great workers.
Why WWE continues to sideline a team that should be dominating one of the tag title scenes is a mystery even Benoit Blanc would struggle to work out.
WWE barely even has to do any work to fix this problem. Just book them to win a match here and there, and the fans will start caring again.
The 10 people listed here all have the potential to do great things if their promotions use them properly. Who else do you think WWE and AEW is fumbling right now?
