Olympic 2026 Medal Count Final Tally, Winners from Day 14 Early Events

Joe TanseyFeb 20, 2026

Norway's dominance at the 2026 Winter Olympics reached an historic level on Friday.

Norway picked up its 17th gold medal, which set a record for most first-place finishes by a country at a single Winter Games.

Unsurprisingly, Friday's goal came in biathlon for Norway. Twenty-one of the nation's 37 medals won at the Milan Cortina Games have come in biathlon or cross-country skiing.

The Netherlands kept up their winning streak in speed skating, as they claimed their fifth straight crown in the women's 1,500 meters.

The United States won its 10th gold medal on Friday after Alex Ferreira took the men's freeski halfpipe. The Americans are solo second in both gold medals and total medal count with 29.

Women's Freestyle Skiing Ski Cross

Gold: Daniela Maier (Germany)

Silver: Fanny Smith (Switzerland): +0.14

Bronze: Sandra Naeslund (Sweden): +0.21

Daniela Maier came out on top in a tight final in the women's ski cross.

Maier edged out Switzerland's Fanny Smith by 14-hundredths of a second to claim gold from the four-woman final.

Maier picked up the 22nd overall medal for Germany at the Milan Cortina Games. It was only the sixth gold for the European country and the second that wasn't earned in the sliding sports.

Men's Biathlon 15km Mass Start

Gold: Johannes Dale-Skjevdal (Norway): 39:17.1

Silver: Sturla Holm Laegreid (Norway): 39:27.6

Bronze: Quentin Fillon Maillet (France): 39:42.7

Johannes Dale-Skjevdal allowed Norway to make Winter Olympics history with two days left of competition.

Dale-Skjevdal won Norway's 17th gold of the Games, the most golds won by a single country at one Winter Olympics.

Norway went one-two in the men's 15-kilometer mass start. It is one silver medal away from having a double-digit haul in golds, silvers and bronzes.

Silver medalist Sturla Holm Laegreid won his fifth-overall medal in northern Italy. He tied fellow Norwegian Johannes Klaebo for most individual medals at the Milan Cortina Games.

France's Quentin Fillon Maillet picked up his fourth medal of 2026 with a bronze. He is one of three athletes to have four medals.

Men's Freestyle Skiing Aerials

Gold: Wang Xindi (China) - 132.60

Silver: Noe Roth (Switzerland) - 131.58

Bronze: Li Tianma (China) - 123.93

Wang Xindi completed the Chinese sweep of the aerials events at the Milan Cortina Games.

Wang's win gave China back-to-back victories in both men's and women's aerials.

Freestyle skiing has been the most successful sport for China at the Winter Olympics. The Asian nation earned six of its 12 overall medals in freestyle skiing.

Noe Roth, the silver medalist, became the first Swiss male to medal in aerials since 1994.

Women's Speed Skating 1,500 meters

Gold: Antoinette Rijpma-De Jong (Netherlands) - 1:54.09

Silver: Ragne Wiklund (Norway) - 1:54.15

Bronze: Valerie Maltais (Canada) - 1:54.40

Antoinette Rijpma-De Jong continued the Dutch dominance in the women's 1,500 meters.

She became the fifth straight Dutch woman to capture gold in the event. It was the 11th overall medal earned by the Dutch in speed skating.

Rijpma-De Jong's winning time was six-hundredths faster than Norway's Ragne Wiklund.

Valerie Maltais won the bronze for Canada ahead of the United States' Brittany Bowe, who took fourth in her final Olympic event.

Men's Freeski Halfpipe

Gold: Alex Ferreira (United States) - 93.75

Silver: Henry Sildaru (Estonia) - 93.00

Bronze: Brendan Mackay (Canada) - 91.00

Alex Ferreira saved his best for last, posting an incredible score of 93.75 points on his third and final run to win gold in the men's freeski halfpipe.

After two runs, Estonia's Henry Sildaru was in the lead with 92.75 points, so Ferreira needed a magical final effort to get gold. He did just that and then played a waiting game to see if that score would hold.

Sildaru put up another great effort, but he fell just short in run three with 93.00 points. That was good enough for silver, though. Canada's Brendan Mackay was the very last competitor, and he authored a great run himself that was good enough for bronze.

Women's Short Track Speed Skating: 1500m

Gold: Kim Gil-li (Republic of Korea) - 2:32.076

Silver: Choi Min-jeong (Republic of Korea) - 2:32.450

Kim has now won two gold medals and three medals overall in these Winter Games. She took first in the 3000m relay and third in the 1000m. Choi was going for her third straight gold medal in this event.

Stoddard won the United States' first medal in a women's individual short track event since 2010.
