Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Wemby Show Support for New NBA All-Star Game Format
A number of NBA players gave high marks to the NBA's new All-Star Game format, which included three separate teams (two from the United States, one international) playing a round-robin tournament of 12-minute games.
"I like this format," Anthony Edwards told reporters. "I think it makes us compete because it's only 12 minutes. Three different teams, you separate the guys, I think it was really good."

Kevin Durant agreed.
"I kinda like how we played today," he told reporters. "I think all three teams went out there and played good ball. ... I think it was definitely a step up in the competitive department compared to last season."
"I liked it," Victor Wembanyama told reporters when asked about the format. "I liked it. I wouldn't be against it in the future. and I wouldn't be against the regular East vs. West either."
Fans and pundits also seemed to enjoy the changes to the contest:
It's unclear if the league would consider utilizing this format in the future given the largely high marks it received.
"The USA vs. World is something everyone has been wanting to see for a few years," league commissioner Adam Silver told reporters this weekend. "We're back on NBC after 24 years and the Winter Olympics is going on, so it seemed only fitting for this format to take place this year."
And there are some players who would like to see the traditional East vs. West matchup return in the future.
"I thought it was good," Leonard told reporters about the new format. "But I still think going back to East-West will be great. I think guys will compete still."
