Olympic 2026 Medal Count, Final Tally, Winners from Day 9 Events

Johannes Klaebo entered into a new echelon of Winter Olympics history on Sunday.

The Norwegian cross-country skier won his ninth Winter Olympics gold in the men's 4x7.5-kilometer relay.

Klaebo is now the winningest athlete in Winter Olympics history with nine golds. He has an opportunity to go for a 10th later this week.

Klaebo and the rest of the Norwegian contingent are trying to run away with the lead in the overall medal count.

Norway owns 26 medals, 12 of which are gold, but Italy continues to make a surge at the top.

Italy won two more golds on Sunday to bring its overall medal haul to 22.

Men's Biathlon 12.5 km Pursuit

Gold: Martin Ponsiluoma (Sweden) - 31:11.9

Silver: Sturla Holm Laegreid (Norway) - 31:32.5

Bronze: Emilien Jacquelin (France) - 31:41.6

Martin Ponsiluoma won his second overall Winter Olympics medal, and first gold, in the men's 12.5-kilometer pursuit.

The 30-year-old previously won silver at the 2022 Winter Olympics in the 15-kilometer mass start.

Ponsiluoma posted a time that was 20 seconds faster than any other competitor in the field.

Norway's Sturla Holm Laegreid continued his successful Olympics with his third medal. He won two bronzes earlier in the Olympian in biathlon.

France's Emilien Jacquelin completed the medal podium. He won bronze by 10 seconds over his teammate Eric Perrot.

Men's Freestyle Skiing Dual Moguls

Gold: Mikael Kingsbury (Canada)

Silver: Ikuma Horishima (Japan)

Bronze: Matt Graham (Australia)

Mikael Kingsbury returned to the top of the Olympic medal podium with the inaugural Olympic gold medal in the men's dual moguls.

Kingsbury, now a five-time Olympic medalist in moguls events, won Canada's first gold of the Milan Cortina Games.

The 2018 gold medalist in singles moguls beat out Ikuma Horishima of Japan in the big final.

Matt Graham picked up bronze with a win over Japan's Takuya Shimakawa in the small final.

Men's Cross-Country 4x7.5 km Relay

Gold: Norway - 1:04:24.5

Silver: France - 1:04:46.7

Bronze: Italy - 1:05:12.4

Johannes Klaebo became the winningest athlete in Winter Olympic history on Sunday.

Klaebo claimed his ninth-career gold medal as the anchor leg on Norway's 4x7.5-kilometer relay team in cross-country skiing.

Four of Klaebo's nine golds have come at the Milan Cortina Games. He is expected to win a fifth gold in northern Italy in the men's sprint relay on Wednesday.

France and Italy rounded out the medal podium. Both teams were well off the pace set by Klaebo and Norway.

Silver: Sara Hector (Sweden) - 2:14.12

Silver: Thea Louise Stjernesund (Norway) - 2:14.12

Federica Brignone became the second Italian woman to claim multiple golds at the Milan Cortina Games.

Brignone won the giant slalom thanks in part to an incredible first run. She held on to the advantage in the second run.

Brignone and speed skater Francesca Lollobrigida, both 35 years old, have been the standout stars for Italy over the last week-and-a-half.

Sweden's Sara Hector and Norway's Thea Louise Stjernesund ended up in a rare tie. The two silver medalists finished with the exact same time in the first and second runs.

Mixed Team Snowboard Cross

Silver: Italy

Bronze: France

Great Britain secured its second gold medal of the Games thanks to the snowboard cross team of Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale.

Nightingale took second in the men's race. Bankes rallied in the women's race to come home in first.

Nightingale and Bankes joined men's skeleton winner Matt Weston as Team GB's gold-medal winners and only medalists so far in Italy.

Women's Biathlon 10 km Pursuit

Gold: Lisa Vittozzi (Italy) - 30:11.8

Silver: Maren Kirkeeide (Norway) - 30:40.6

Bronze: Suvi Minkkinen (Finland) - 30:46.1

Lisa Vittozzi won Italy's second gold on Sunday, and eighth of the Olympics, in the 10-kilometer pursuit in biathlon.

Vittozzi won by an overwhelming margin of 28 seconds to become Italy's first-ever gold medalist in biathlon.

Norway, the country that typically dominates the biathlon podium, took second with Maren Kirkeeide. She now has a gold and a silver from the Milan Cortina Games.

Suvi Minkkinen picked up the third bronze medal of the Games for Finland.

Women's Speed Skating 500 meters

Gold: Femke Kok (Netherlands) - 36.49 seconds

Silver: Jutta Leerdam (Netherlands) 37.15

Bronze: Miho Takagi (Japan) - 37.27

Femke Kok blew away the field in the women's 500 meters.

The Dutch skater set an Olympic record of 36.49 seconds from the final of 15 pairs in the event.

Kok recorded a Dutch one-two with Jutta Leerdam for the second time in Milan. Leerdam won the 1,000 meters and Kok too silver in that event.

Kok became the first Dutch woman to win the 500 meters. The Netherlands is one of the best speed skating nations in the world, but they typically thrive in the distance events.

Skeleton Mixed Team

Gold: Matt Weston and Tabitha Stoecker (Great Britain) - 1:59.36

Silver: Axel Jungk and Susanne Kreher (Germany) - 1:59.53

Bronze: Christopher Grotheer and Jacqueline Pfeifer (Germany) - 1:59.54

Great Britain's Matt Weston and Tabitha Stoecker took home gold in the skeleton mixed team. Weston also won gold in the men's skeleton.

Germany's Axel Jungk and Susanne Kreher secured silver, while another German pairing, Christopher Grotheer and Jacqueline Pfeifer, claimed bronze.

Bronze: Nika Prevc (Slovenia) - 271.5

Norway shined the women's ski jumping large hill on Sunday as Anna Odine Strøm won her first gold medal and Eirin Maria Kvandal won her second silver medal at these Olympics.

Nika Prevc, who has already won a gold medal and a silver medal this year, picked up her third medal of 2026 with her bronze.
